दिखावटीपन से बचें

एक व्यक्ति को किसी बड़े पद पर नौकरी मिल गयी। वह इस नौकरी से खुद को और बड़ा समझने लगा, लेकिन वह कभी भी खुद को बड़े पद के मुताबिक़ नहीं ढाल सका। एक दिन वह अपने ऑफिस में बैठा था, तभी बाहर से उसके दरवाजे को खटखटाने की आवाज आई।

खुद को बहुत व्यस्त दिखाने के लिए उसनें टेबल पर रखे टेलीफोन को उठा लिया और जो व्यक्ति दरवाजे के बाहर खड़ा था उसे अन्दर आने के लिए कहा। वह अन्दर आकर इंतजार करने लगा, इस बीच कुर्सी पर बैठा अधिकारी फ़ोन पर चिल्ला-चिल्ला कर बात कर रहा था। बीच-बीच में वह फोन पर कहता, कि मुझे वह काम जल्दी करके देना, टेलीफोन  पर अपनी बातों को बहुत बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर बता रहा था। 

ऐसे ही कुछ मिनट तक बात करने के बाद उस आदमी ने फ़ोन रखा और सामने वाले व्यक्ति से उसके ऑफिस आने की वजह पूछी। उस आदमी ने अधिकारी को जवाब देते हुए कहा, “सर, मुझे बताया गया था कि 3 दिनों से आपके इस ऑफिस का टेलीफ़ोन ख़राब है और मैं इस टेलीफ़ोन को ठीक करने के लिए आया हूँ।”

हम दिखावा करके क्या साबित करना चाहते हैं? इससे हम कभी भी कुछ हासिल नहीं कर सकते, हमें किसी के सामने झूठ बोलने की क्या जरूरत? दिखावा करके हम खुद की नजरों में कभी भी ऊपर नहीं उठ सकते। दिखावा करने से बचिए क्योंकि इससे लोग पीठ पीछे हमारी ही बुराई करेंगे। मुखौटा मत लगायें।

Avoid Pretense

A person got a job at a big position. He started considering himself bigger with this job, but he could never adapt himself to the higher position. One day he was sitting in his office when he heard a knock on his door from outside.

To make himself appear very busy, he picked up the telephone lying on the table and asked the person standing outside the door to come inside. He came inside and started waiting, meanwhile the officer sitting on the chair was shouting and talking on the phone. Every now and then he would say on the phone that he should get the work done quickly, he was exaggerating his words on the telephone.

After talking like this for a few minutes, the man hung up the phone and asked the person in front of him the reason for coming to the office. The man replied to the officer, “Sir, I was told that the telephone in this office of yours has been broken for the last 3 days and I have come to repair this telephone.”

What are we trying to prove by pretending? We can never achieve anything from this, why do we need to lie in front of anyone? We can never rise in our own eyes by pretending. Avoid showing off because because of this people will speak ill of us behind our backs. Don't wear a mask.
