भगवान् कृष्ण ने जब देह छोड़ा तो उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। उनका सारा शरीर तो पांच तत्व में मिल गया, लेकिन उनका हृदय बिल्कुल सामान्य एक जिन्दा आदमी की तरह धड़क रहा था और वो बिल्कुल सुरक्षित था। उनका हृदय आज तक सुरक्षित है जो भगवान् जगन्नाथ की काठ की मूर्ति के अंदर रहता है और उसी तरह धड़कता है, ये बात बहुत कम लोगों को पता है। 

महाप्रभु का महा रहस्य

हर 12 साल में बदली जाती है मूर्तियां 

महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ (श्री कृष्ण) को कलियुग का भगवान भी कहते है। पुरी (उड़ीसा) में जग्गनाथ स्वामी अपनी बहन सुभद्रा और भाई बलराम के साथ निवास करते हैं। मगर रहस्य ऐसे है कि आजतक कोई न जान पाया। हर 12 साल में महाप्रभु की मूर्ती को बदला जाता है, उस समय पूरे पुरी शहर में ब्लैकआउट किया जाता है। यानी पूरे शहर की लाइट बंद की जाती है। लाइट बंद होने के बाद मंदिर परिसर को crpf की सेना चारो तरफ से घेर लेती है, उस समय कोई भी मंदिर में नही जा सकता। 

ये पूरी प्रक्रिया हर 12 साल में एक बार होती है। उस समय सुरक्षा बहुत ज्यादा होती है। 12 साल में जब ये मूर्तियां बदली जाती हैं, तो मंदिर की सुरक्षा सीआरपीएफ के हवाले कर दी जाती है। किसी का भी प्रवेश इस दौरान वर्जित होता है। अंधेरा होने के.बाद कोई भी इस मंदिर में नहीं जा सकता। इन मूर्तियों को बदलने के लिए सिर्फ एक पुजारी को मंदिर में जाने की अनुमति होती है और उसके लिए भी पुजारी के हाथों मे दस्ताने पहनाए जाते हैं और अंधेरे के बावजूद आंखों में पट्टी बांधी जाती है ताकि पुजारी भी मूर्तियों को ना देख सके। 

ब्रह्म पदार्थ का रहस्य 

पुरानी मूर्ति से जो नई मूर्ति बदली जाती है उसमें एक चीज वैसी की वैसी ही रहती है वह है ब्रह्म पदार्थ। इस ब्रह्म पदार्थ को पुरानी मूर्ति से निकालकर नई मूर्ति में डाल दिया जाता है। 

ब्रह्म पदार्थ को लेकर यह मान्यता है कि अगर इसे किसी ने भी देख लिया तो उसकी तुरंत मौत हो जाएगी। इस ब्रह्म पदार्थ को श्रीकृष्ण से जोड़ा जाता है। 

मंदिर के अंदर घना अंधेरा रहता है। पुजारी की आँखों पर पट्टी बंधी होती है। पुजारी के हाथ में दस्ताने होते हैं, वो पुरानी मूर्ती से "ब्रह्म पदार्थ" निकालता है और नई मूर्ती में डाल देता है। ये ब्रह्म पदार्थ क्या है? आजतक किसी को नहीं पता इसे आजतक किसी ने नहीं देखा। हज़ारों सालो से ये एक मूर्ती से दूसरी मूर्ती में ट्रांसफर किया जा रहा है। ये क्या है कोई नही जानता। 

आजतक कोई भी पुजारी ये नहीं बता पाया की महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ की मूर्ती में आखिर ऐसा क्या है ? कुछ पुजारियों का कहना है कि जब हमने उसे हाथ में लिया तो खरगोश जैसा उछल रहा था, आंखों पर पट्टी होती थी और हाथों में  दस्ताने थे, तो हम सिर्फ महसूस कर पाए। 

सोने की झाड़ू से होती है सफाई :

आज भी हर साल जगन्नाथ यात्रा के उपलक्ष्य में सोने की झाड़ू से पुरी के राजा खुद झाड़ू लगाने आते हैं। 

सिंहद्वार का क्या है रहस्य 

भगवान जगन्नाथ मंदिर के सिंहद्वार से पहला कदम अंदर रखते ही समुद्र की लहरों की आवाज अंदर सुनाई नहीं देती, जबकि आश्चर्य में डाल देने वाली बात यह है कि जैसे ही मंदिर से एक कदम बाहर रखेंगे, वैसे ही समुद्र की आवाज सुनाई देंगी। 

जगन्नाथ मंदिर के पास ही चिताएं भी जलती हैं, माना जाता है कि सिंहद्वार के अंदर प्रवेश करने से पहले चिताओं की गंध आती है, लेकिन द्वार के अंदर प्रवेश करते ही यह गंध आनी बंद हो जाती है। 

मंदिर के ऊपर नहीं उड़ते कोई पक्षी

ज्यादातर मंदिरों के शिखर पर पक्षी बैठे-उड़ते देखे जाते हैं, लेकिन जगन्नाथ मंदिर के ऊपर से कोई पक्षी नहीं गुजरता। 

नहीं बनती मंदिर की परछाई

इस मंदिर से जुड़ा एक रहस्य यह भी है कि कितनी भी धूप में इस मंदिर की परछाई कभी नहीं बनती। 

झंडे का रहस्य 

इस मंदिर के ऊपर एक झंडा लगा हुआ है जिसे रोज शाम को बदलाना जरूरी होता है। इसके पीछे यह मान्यता है कि अगर इस झंडे को नहीं बदला गया तो यह मंदिर आने वाले 18 सालों में बंद हो जाएगा। झंडा हमेशा हवा की उल्टी दिशा में लहराता है। 

रसोई घर का रहस्य 

(मंदिर में कभी नहीं होती प्रसाद की कमी)

इस मंदिर का रसोई घर दुनिया के सबसे बड़े रसोई घरों में से एक है। यहां 500 रसोइये और उनके 300 सहयोगी काम करते हैं। कहा जाता है कि इस मंदिर में कितने भी भक्त आ जाएं लेकिन कभी प्रसाद कम नहीं पड़ता, लेकिन जैसे ही मंदिर के बंद होने का समय आता है तो यह प्रसाद अपने आप खत्म हो जाता है। यहां बनने वाला प्रसाद 7 बर्तनों में बनता है, जिसे एक ही लकड़ी के चूल्हे पर बनाया जाता है।.यहां की खास बात यह है कि इस लकड़ी के चूल्हे पर सबसे पहले सातवें स्थान पर सबसे ऊपर रखे हुए बर्तन का प्रसाद बनकर तैयार होता है ना कि सबसे नीचे रखे हुए बर्तन का। दिन में किसी मंदिर में हर दिन बनने वाला प्रसाद भक्तों के लिए कभी कम नहीं पड़ता, लेकिन हैरान करने वाली बात ये है कि जैसे ही मंदिर के पट बंद होते हैं वैसे ही प्रसाद भी खत्म हो जाता है। ये सब बड़े आश्चर्य की बात है।

Statues are changed every 12 years

Mahaprabhu Jagannath (Shri Krishna) is also called the Lord of Kaliyuga. Jagannath Swami resides in Puri (Orissa) with his sister Subhadra and brother Balram. But the secret is such that no one has been able to know it till date. The idol of Mahaprabhu is replaced every 12 years, at which time a blackout is observed in the entire Puri city. That means the lights of the entire city are switched off. After the lights are switched off, CRPF forces surround the temple premises from all sides, at that time no one can enter the temple.

This entire process happens once every 12 years. There is a lot of security at that time. When these idols are replaced every 12 years, the security of the temple is handed over to CRPF. Entry of anyone is prohibited during this period. No one can enter this temple after dark. To change these idols, only a priest is allowed to go to the temple and for that too, gloves are worn on the priest's hands and despite the darkness, his eyes are blindfolded so that even the priest cannot see the idols.

In the new idol which is replaced by the old idol, one thing remains the same and that is the substance of Brahma. This Brahma substance is taken out from the old idol and put into the new idol.

There is a belief regarding Brahma substance that if anyone sees it, he will die immediately. This Brahma substance is linked to Shri Krishna.

There is dense darkness inside the temple. The priest's eyes are blindfolded. The priest has gloves on his hands, he takes out the "Brahma substance" from the old idol and puts it in the new idol. What is this Brahma substance? No one knows till date, no one has seen it till date. For thousands of years it is being transferred from one idol to another. No one knows what this is.

Till date no priest has been able to tell what is there in the idol of Mahaprabhu Jagannath? Some priests say that when we held him in our hands, he was jumping like a rabbit, he was blindfolded and had gloves on his hands, so we could only feel it.

Cleaning is done with a golden broom:

Even today, every year on the occasion of Jagannath Yatra, the king of Puri himself comes to sweep with a golden broom.

What is the secret of Singhdwar

As soon as you take the first step inside the Singhdwar of Lord Jagannath Temple, the sound of the sea waves is not heard inside, whereas the surprising thing is that as soon as you take a step out of the temple, the sound of the sea will be heard.

Pyres are also burnt near the Jagannath temple, it is believed that before entering inside the Singhdwar, the smell of the pyre comes, but this smell stops as soon as you enter inside the gate.

No birds fly over the temple

Birds are seen sitting and flying on the tops of most of the temples, but no bird passes over the Jagannath temple.

Another mystery related to this temple is that no matter how much sunlight a shadow is formed in this temple.

There is a flag on top of this temple which needs to be changed every evening. The belief behind this is that if this flag is not changed then this temple will be closed in the coming 18 years. The flag always flies in the opposite direction of the wind.

kitchen secrets

(There is never any shortage of Prasad in the temple)

The keep house of this temple is one of the largest kitchens in the world. 500 cooks and 300 of their associates work here. It is said that no matter how many devotees come to this temple, the Prasad never falls short, but as soon as the time comes for the temple to be closed, the Prasad automatically ends. The Prasad made here is made in 7 utensils, which are prepared on the same wooden stove. The special thing here is that on this wooden stove, the Prasad is first prepared from the vessel placed at the seventh position at the top. Not the vessel kept at the bottom. The Prasad made every day in a temple never falls short for the devotees, but the surprising thing is that as soon as the doors of the temple are closed, the Prasad also ends. All this is a matter of great surprise.
