हनुमान धारा, चित्रकूट

चित्रकूट भगवान श्रीराम की तपोस्थली है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि भगवान श्रीराम ने अपने 14 वर्ष के वनवास के दौरान 11 साल चित्रकूट में बिताए थे। धर्म नगरी के प्राचीन हनुमान धारा तीर्थ स्थल से श्रद्धालुओं की आस्था वर्षों पुरानी है। इस धारा का जल हनुमानजी को स्पर्श करता हुआ बहता है। इसीलिए इसे हनुमान धारा कहते हैं। मान्यता है कि इसके दर्शन से प्रत्येक व्यक्ति तनाव मुक्त हो जाता है तथा मनोकामना भी पूर्ण होती है।

हनुमान धारा के बारे में कहा जाता है की जब श्री हनुमान जी ने लंका में आग लगाई उसके बाद उनकी पूंछ में लगी आग को बुझाने के लिए वो इस जगह आये, जिन्हें भक्त हनुमान धारा कहते हैं। यह विन्ध्यास के शुरुआत में राम घाट से 4 किलोमीटर दूर है। एक चमत्कारिक पवित्र और ठंडी जल धारा पर्वत से निकल कर हनुमान जी की मूरत की पूँछ को स्नान कराकर नीचे कुंड में चली जाती है।

कहा जाता है की जब हनुमानजी ने लंका में अपनी पूँछ से आग लगाई थी तब उनकी पूँछ पर भी बहूत जलन हो रही थी। तब हनुमानजी ने भगवन श्री राम से विनती की। हे प्रभु! मुझे कोई ऐसा उपाय बताएं, जिससे मैं इस जलन से मुक्ति पा सकूं। तब श्री राम ने अपने बाण के प्रहार से इसी जगह पर एक पवित्र धारा बनाई, जो हनुमान जी की पूँछ पर लगातार गिरकर पूँछ के जलन को कम करती रही। यह जगह पर्वत माला पर है। वर्तमान में यह स्थान चित्रकूट उत्तर प्रदेश के बांदा जिले में स्थित है। यह पड़ोस में ही स्थित मध्य प्रदेश के सतना ज़िले के चित्रकूट नगर से जुड़ा हुआ है।

यह स्थान पर्वतमाला के मध्यभाग में स्थित है। पहाड़ के सहारे हनुमानजी की एक विशाल मूर्ति के ठीक सिर पर दो जल के कुंड हैं, जो हमेशा जल से भरे रहते हैं और उनमें से निरंतर पानी बहता रहता है। पहाड़ी के शिखर पर स्थित हनुमान धारा में हनुमान की एक विशाल मूर्ति है। मूर्ति के सामने तालाब में झरने से पानी गिरता है। आज भी यहां वह जल धारा के निरंतर गिरती है। जिस कारण इस स्थान को हनुमान धारा के रूप में जाना जाता है। धारा का जल पहाड़ में ही विलीन हो जाता है। उसे लोग प्रभाती नदी या पातालगंगा कहते हैं।

भारत के तीर्थों में चित्रकूट को इसलिए भी गौरव प्राप्त है क्योंकि इसी में भक्तराज हनुमान की सहायता से भक्त शिरोमणि तुलसीदास को प्रभु श्री राम के दर्शन हुए। यहां पर पंचमुखी हनुमान की प्रतिमा है। यह लगभग 100 मीटर ऊंची पहाड़ी पर स्थित है। जब श्रीराम लंका विजय से वापस लौट रहे थे, तब उन्होंने हनुमान के विश्राम के लिए इस स्थल का निर्माण किया था। यहीं पर पहाड़ी की चोटी पर `सीता रसोई' स्थित है। हनुमान धारा से ठीक 100 सीढ़ी ऊपर सीता रसोई है, जहां माता सीता ने भोजन बनाकर भगवान श्रीराम और लक्ष्मण जी को खिलाया था।

Chitrakoot is the holy place of Lord Shri Ram. It is believed that Lord Shri Ram spent 11 years in Chitrakoot during his 14 years of exile. The faith of devotees in the ancient Hanuman Dhara pilgrimage site of Dharmanagari is years old. The water of this stream flows touching Hanumanji. That is why it is called Hanuman Dhara. It is believed that by seeing it every person becomes stress free and his wishes are also fulfilled.

It is said about Hanuman Dhara that after Shri Hanuman ji set fire to Lanka, he came to this place to extinguish the fire in his tail, which devotees call Hanuman Dhara. It is 4 kilometers from Ram Ghat at the beginning of Vindhyas. A miraculous holy and cold water stream emerges from the mountain and goes down into the pond, bathing the tail of Hanumanji's idol.

It is said that when Hanumanji set fire to Lanka with his tail, there was a lot of burning sensation on his tail. Then Hanumanji requested Lord Shri Ram. Oh God! Please tell me some solution by which I can get rid of this irritation. Then, with the strike of his arrow, Shri Ram created a sacred stream at this very place, which continuously fell on Hanuman ji's tail, reducing the burning sensation in the tail. This place is on the mountain range. Presently this place Chitrakoot is situated in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. It is connected to the neighboring Chitrakoot city of Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

This place is situated in the central part of the mountain range. There are two water ponds right on the head of a huge idol of Hanumanji on the support of the mountain, which are always filled with water and water keeps flowing from them continuously. There is a huge statue of Hanuman in Hanuman Dhara situated on the top of the hill. Water falls from a waterfall into the pond in front of the statue. Even today that water stream falls continuously here. Due to which this place is known as Hanuman Dhara. The water of the stream merges into the mountain itself. People call it Prabhati river or Patalganga.

Chitrakoot also has pride among the pilgrimage sites of India because it is here that with the help of Bhaktaraj Hanuman, devotee Shiromani Tulsidas had the darshan of Lord Shri Ram. There is a statue of Panchmukhi Hanuman here. It is situated on a hill about 100 meters high. When Shri Ram was returning from conquering Lanka, he built this place for the resting place of Hanuman. 'Sita Rasoi' is situated here on the top of the hill. Just 100 steps above Hanuman Dhara is Sita Rasoi, where Mother Sita had prepared food and fed it to Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman ji.
