ज्ञान सरस्वती मन्दिर तेलंगाना बासर

सरस्वती माँ का यह मन्दिर गोदावरी नदी के किनारे, बासर, तेलंगाना, भारत में स्थित है।

बासर तेलंगाना राज्य के निर्मल जिले में एक कम आबादी वाला शहर है। यहाँ स्थित माँ सस्वती के मंदिर की महिमा विश्व विख्यात है। 

महाभारत के कथन के अनुसार ज्ञात होता है कि कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध समाप्त होने पर महर्षि व्यास और उनके शिष्यों ने ऋषि विश्वामित्र के साथ शांत वातावरण में बसने का फैसला किया। तब वह शांतिपूर्ण निवास की तलाश में दंडक वन की ओर चले आये। इस क्षेत्र की शांति से प्रसन्न होकर इस स्थान पर बसने का मन बना लिया। चूँकि महर्षि व्यास ने भगवान की लीन आराधना में काफी समय बिताया था, इसलिए उस समय इस स्थान को वसारा कहा जाता था और इस क्षेत्र में मराठी भाषा के प्रभाव के कारण बासर में नाम तब्दील हो गया है। 

मंदिर के गर्भ गृह गोपुरम परिक्रमा मार्ग आदि इसके निर्माण योजना का हिस्सा है मंदिर में केंद्रीय प्रतिमा सरस्वती मां की है साथ ही लक्ष्मी जी भी विराजित हैं सरस्वती मां की प्रतिमा पद्मासन मुद्रा में है जो 4 फुट ऊंची है। मंदिर में एक स्तंभ भी हैं जिसमें से संगीत के सातों स्वर सुने जा सकते हैं यहां की विशिष्ट धार्मिक रीति अक्षर आराधना कहलाती है।

यह भी माना जाता है कि यह मंदिर मंजीरा और गोदावरी नदियों के संगम के पास बने तीन मंदिरों में से एक है ।ऐतिहासिक दृष्टिकोण से देखा जाए तो कर्नाटक के एक राजा बिजियालुडु, जिन्होंने छठी शताब्दी में अपनी राजधानी के रूप में नांदेड़ के साथ नंदगिरी प्रांत पर शासन किया था, ने बसारा में सरस्वती माँ के मंदिर का निर्माण किया था। यह 17वीं शताब्दी में मुस्लिम आक्रमणकारियों द्वारा किए गए विनाश के बाद मंदिर की मूर्तियों को नंदगिरी (नांदेड़) के एक मुखिया द्वारा बहाल किया। 

यहाँ घूमते हुए यहाँ  के स्थानीय लोगो से वर्तालाप करने पर पता चलता है कि इस मंदिर पर बच्चो की औपचारिक स्कूली शिक्षा शुरू करने से पहले "अक्षरा अभ्यासम" समारोह करने के लिए कई तीर्थयात्री ज्ञान सरस्वती मंदिर बसर आते हैं, जहाँ दक्षिण महाराष्ट्र के बच्चे अक्षरों का अभ्यास करते हैं और ज्ञान की देवी को किताबें, कलम, पेंसिल, नोटबुक समर्पित करते हैं। इसके पश्चात मंदिर में पूजा सुबह 4 बजे माँ के अभिषेक के साथ शुरू होती है, जो एक घंटे तक चलती है तथा 5 बजे वे अलंकारना शुरू करते हैं, जिससे नई साड़ियों को देवी-देवताओं को सजाया जाता है। पूरा वातावरण बहुत शांत और पवित्र है। सुबह 6 बजे सूरज की पहली किरण के साथ मंदिर में आरती शुरू होती है, जिसके बाद भक्तों को प्रसाद दिया जाता है।

यहाँ महाशिवरात्रि के दौरान मंदिर में विशेष पूजा आयोजन आयोजित किया जाता है जो 15 दिन पहले (वसंत पंचमी) से शुरू होते हैं और त्योहार के 3 दिन बाद तक जारी रहते हैं, दशहरा के दौरान दस दिनों के लिए देवी नवरात्रुलु मनाया जाता है, क्योंकि इस मंदिर में मुनियों के द्वरा महाकाली मूर्ति स्थापित की गयी है, जो मुख्य मंदिर के पास पहली मंजिल पर स्थित है। भक्त अक्सर पास के पहाड़ पर जाते हैं, जिसमें चट्टान के ऊपर देवी सरस्वती की मूर्ति विराजित है। गर्भगृह में देवी सरस्वती के अलावा लक्ष्मी की छवि विराजमान है। माँ सरस्वती माँ लक्ष्मी और माँ काली की उपस्थिति के कारण बसारा जो अभी (बासर ) के नाम से जाना जाता है, को दिव्य त्रिमूर्ति का निवास माना जाता है।

इस मंदिर के निकट ही बाल्मीकि जी की संगमरमर की समाधि बनी हुई है।

Gyan Saraswati Temple, Telangana Basar

This temple of Goddess Saraswati is situated on the banks of river Godavari, Basar, Telangana, India.

Basar is a sparsely populated town in Nirmal district in the state of Telangana. The glory of Maa Saswati's temple located here is world famous.

According to the narrative of the Mahabharata, it is known that after the Kurukshetra war was over, Maharishi Vyasa and his disciples decided to settle down in a peaceful environment with sage Vishwamitra. Then he went to the Dandak forest in search of a peaceful abode. Pleased with the peace of this area, he made up his mind to settle at this place. Since Maharishi Vyas spent a lot of time in absorbed worship of the Lord, the place was called Vasara at that time and the name has been transformed into Basar due to the influence of Marathi language in the region.

The sanctum sanctorum of the temple, Gopuram Parikrama Marg etc. is part of its construction plan. The central statue in the temple is of Saraswati Maa, along with Lakshmi ji is also seated. The idol of Saraswati Maa is in Padmasana posture which is 4 feet high. There is also a pillar in the temple from which all the seven notes of music can be heard. The special religious ritual here is called Akshar Aradhana.

It is also believed that this temple is one of the three temples built near the confluence of Manjira and Godavari rivers. Historically, Bijialudu, a king of Karnataka, who ruled Nandagiri province with Nanded as his capital in the 6th century Had ruled, had built the temple of Saraswati Maa in Basara. It was after the destruction caused by Muslim invaders in the 17th century that the idols of the temple were restored by a chieftain from Nandagiri (Nanded).

While roaming here and talking to the local people here, it is known that many pilgrims come to Gyan Saraswati temple to perform "Akshara Abhyasam" ceremony at this temple before the children start formal schooling, where children from South Maharashtra learn to learn letters. Practice and dedicate books, pens, pencils, notebooks to the Goddess of Knowledge. After this, the worship in the temple starts at 4 am with the abhishekam to the mother, which lasts for an hour and at 5 am they start the alankarna, by which new sarees are decorated to the deities. The whole atmosphere is very calm and holy. The aarti in the temple begins at 6 am with the first ray of the sun, after which prasad is offered to the devotees.

Here during Mahashivratri special worship events are organized in the temple which start 15 days before (Vasant Panchami) and continue till 3 days after the festival, Goddess Navaratrilu is celebrated for ten days during Dussehra, because The idol of Mahakali has been installed by sages in this temple, which is situated on the first floor near the main temple. Devotees often visit the nearby mountain, which has an idol of Goddess Saraswati enshrined on top of the rock. Apart from Goddess Saraswati, the image of Lakshmi is enshrined in the sanctum sanctorum. Basara which is now known as Abhi (Basar) is considered to be the abode of the divine trinity because of the presence of Maa Saraswati Maa Lakshmi and Maa Kali.

The marble tomb of Valmiki ji is built near this temple.
