जबलपुर को सुनहरे इतिहास में ऐसे कई नाम एवं उपनामों से जाना जाता रहा है। प्राचीन समय में 'जब्बलपोर' या जब्बालीपुरम जैसे नाम से पुकारा जाता था तो वही आजकल संस्कारधानी जैसे उपनामों से जबलपुर को जाना जाता है।

कचनार सिटी मंदिर मध्य प्रदेश के जबलपुर जिले में विजय नगर में स्थित है। जबलपुर रेलवे स्टेशन से इस मंदिर की दूरी करीब 7 से 8 किलोमीटर की है। जबलपुर में कई बेहतरीन पर्यटन स्थल है, जहां दूर-दूर से लोग घूमने आते हैं। तो चलिए आज हम आपको जबलपुर के कैसे बेहतरीन मंदिर के बारे में बताने जा रहे हैं जिसे हम सभी 'कचनार सिटी' के नाम से जानते हैं।

कचनार सिटी मंदिर

कचनार सिटी मंदिर एक भव्य मंदिर है जो कि जबलपुर शहर के पॉश इलाके में स्थित है। यहां भगवान शिव की एक बहुत बड़ी प्रतिमा का निर्माण किया गया है, जिसे देखकर हम सभी मुक्त मंत्रमुग्ध हो जाएंगे। इसकी सुंदरता और बनावट अपने आप में बेजोड़ है। यह मंदिर 6 एकड़ क्षेत्र में बना हुआ है, जिसमें एक बहुत ही बड़ा गार्डन है और इसी गार्डन के बीचो बीच खुले आसमान के नीचे ध्यान मुद्रा में बैठे भगवान शिव की मूर्ति स्थापित की गई है।

शंकर भगवान की प्रतिमा 76 फीट ऊंची है। इस मूर्ति के नीचे गुफा का निर्माण किया गया है जहां संपूर्ण 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों के प्रति रूपों को स्थापित किया गया है। इसके अलावा है यहां एक बड़ा गेट और अन्य आकर्षक मूर्तियां भी लगाई गई हैं, जो कि आने वालों के लिए आकर्षण का केंद्र होती है। जबलपुर में इसके निर्माण का ख्याल सबसे पहले कचनार सिटी को बसाने वाले बिल्डर श्री अरुण तिवारी जी को आया था।

सन 2002 में साउथ इंडिया के शिमोगा जिले से खास मूर्ति बनाने वाले प्रमुख मूर्तिकार के.श्रीधर अपने 15 मजदूरों के साथ जबलपुर आए। बुनियादी आवश्यकता की पूर्ति होने के बाद सन् 2003 में कारीगरों द्वारा मूर्ति बनाने का काम शुरू कर दिया गया था। ऊंचाई बढ़ने पर काम करने के लिए खास लिफ्ट का भी प्रयोग किया गया था। मूर्ति बनने में लगभग 3 साल का समय लग गया।अरुण तिवारी जी ने मूर्तिकार के. श्रीधर से लगभग 81 फीट ऊंचाई वाली मूर्ति की इच्छा जताई थी लेकिन मूर्ति बन कर तैयार होने के बाद इसकी ऊंचाई 72 फुट थी। भगवान शिव का वाहन नंदी जी को भी यहां स्थापित किया गया है।

12 बड़ी मूर्ति का निर्माण करने वाले के श्रीधर या मानते हैं कि कचनार सिटी किया मूर्तिउनके द्वारा बनाई गई अन्य मूर्तियों से ज्यादा आकर्षक है। के. श्रीधर खुद भी चार-पांच साल में एक बार यहां जरूर आते हैं।

यह मंदिर यहां आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं एवं शिव भक्तों के लिए हमेशा खुला रहता है। लोग वैसे तो अक्सर दूर-दूर से यहां घूमने आते रहते हैं, लेकिन नए साल के दिन, महाशिवरात्रि, नाग पंचमी एवं सावन महीने में यहां बहुत ही भारी भीड़ उमड़ती है।

Kachnar City Temple is a grand temple situated in the posh area of ​​Jabalpur city. A huge statue of Lord Shiva has been constructed here, seeing which we will all be free to be mesmerized. Its beauty and texture is unmatched in itself. This temple is built in an area of ​​6 acres, in which there is a very big garden and in the middle of this garden the idol of Lord Shiva sitting in meditation posture has been installed under the open sky.

The idol of Lord Shankar is 76 feet high. A cave has been constructed under this idol where the forms have been installed for the entire 12 Jyotirlingas. Apart from this, a big gate and other attractive sculptures have also been installed here, which is the center of attraction for the visitors. The idea of ​​its construction in Jabalpur first came to the builder Shri Arun Tiwari ji, who settled Kachnar City.

In 2002, K.Sridhar, a prominent sculptor who made a special idol from Shimoga district of South India, came to Jabalpur with 15 of his laborers. After fulfilling the basic requirement, the work of making idols by the artisans was started in 2003. A special lift was also used to do the work as the height increased. It took about 3 years to make the idol. The idol was about 81 feet in height from Sridhar, but after the idol was ready, its height was 72 feet. Nandi ji, the vehicle of Lord Shiva, has also been installed here.

K Sridhar, who built the 12 big idol, believes that the Kachnar City Kiya Murti is more attractive than the other idols made by him. Of. Sridhar himself definitely comes here once in four-five years.

This temple is always open for the devotees and Shiva devotees who come here. Although people often come from far and wide to visit here, but there is a huge crowd on New Year's Day, Mahashivratri, Nag Panchami and in the month of Sawan.
