चलिए लिए चलते हैं आपको भारत के सबसे खूबसूरत क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में। हालाँकि इस समय यहाँ कोई क्रिकेट मैच नहीं है, बल्कि यहाँ खुदाई  का काम चल रहा है। हिमाचल प्रदेश क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन स्टेडियम ( Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium), जिसे एचपीसीए (HPCA) क्रिकेट स्टेडियम के संक्षिप्त नाम से जाना जाता है। यह एक क्रिकेट स्टेडियम है, जो भारतीय राज्य हिमाचल प्रदेश के धर्मशाला क्षेत्र में स्थित है। धर्मशाला तिब्बत के दलाई लामा के कारण भी जाना जाता है।

धर्मशाला क्रिकेट स्टेडियम, धर्मशाला के पर्यटन का प्रमुख आकर्षण है। यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्टेडियम स्थानीय क्रिकेट टीम के लिये घरेलू मैदान की तरह भी कार्य करता है। इसकी पृष्ठभूमि मनोरम  प्राकृतिक होने के कारण  इस स्टेडियम को भारत का सबसे खूबसूरत स्टेडियम माना जाता है।

यह स्टेडियम कभी कभी पर्यटकों को रणजी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट मैच के गवाह बनने का अवसर देता है। इस स्टेडियम से धौलाधार श्रेणीं की हिमाच्छन्न पर्वत चोटियां आसानी से देखी जा सकती हैं। यहां दुनिया की सबसे ज़्यादा हाईस्पीड पिचों वाला और धौलाधार की बर्फीली वादियों की गोद में बना यह खूबसूरत क्रिकेट स्टेडियम है। 

यहाँ पर पहला वनडे मैच 27 जनवरी 2013 को भारत और इंग्लैंड के बीच खेला गया था, जबकि पहला ट्वेन्टी-ट्वेन्टी मुकाबला 2 अक्तूबर 2015 को भारत और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बीच खेला गया था।

जैसा कि हम सभी जानते हैं हिमाचल प्रदेश में बारिश ज्यादा होती है और धर्मशाला को देशभर में सबसे ज़्यादा बारिश का केंद्र माना जाता है। धर्मशाला स्थित दुनिया के खूबसूरत क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में ज्यादातर बार देखा गया है कि बारिश की वजह से मैच रद्द हो जाते हैं, हालांकि बारिश थमने के बाद ग्राउंड को सुखाने वाला सिस्टम भी यहां मौजूद था, परंतु वह पुरानी टेक्नोलॉजी के जरिये ही ऑपरेट होता रहा था और उससे ग्राउंड को सुखाने में करीब डेढ़ से दो घण्टे का समय लग जाता है। यही वजह है कि दुनिया के इस खूबसूरत क्रिकेट स्टेडियम की एक बार फिर से खुदाई शुरू हो चुकी है। 

अब बारिश के बाद भी मैच रद्द नहीं होगा

अब इस मैदान की पुरानी आउटफील्ड को उखाड़कर नई आउटफील्ड तैयार की जा रही है, जिसका काम शुरू हो गया है। बेंगलुरु के चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम की तर्ज पर इसमें सब एयर ड्रेनेज सिस्टम लगाया जा रहा है। यह ड्रेनेज सिस्टम मैदान पर बारिश की बूंदों के गिरने के साथ ही एक्टिव हो जाएगा। इस नई तकनीक वाले ड्रेनेज सिस्टम से बारिश के बाद मैदान को सुखाने में लगने वाले समय में कमी आएगी और मैदान को खेलने के लिए जल्दी तैयार किया जा सकेगा। 

माना जा रहा है कि बारिश रुकने के तुरंत बाद ही यह सिस्टम आउटफील्ड को खेलने लायक बना देगा। इस सिस्टम में पूरे मैदान की आउटफील्ड में परफोरेटेड पाइप डाली जा रही हैं। इसमें छोटे-छोटे छेद होते हैं और इन छेदों की मदद से पानी इन पाइपों के माध्यम से बाहर निकाला जा सकेगा। साथ ही इस में बेस्ट क्वालिटी की मिक्स बरमूडा घास भी लगाई जाएगी, जिसके बाद बारिश रुकते ही मैदान को 20 मिनट में सुखाया जा सकेगा। फील्ड में कई और सुविधाएं भी दी जा रही हैं। मैदान में पानी देने के लिए आधुनिक तकनीक का पॉपअप सिस्टम या आधुनिक रेनगन को भी लगाया जाएगा।

Here the first ODI match was played between India and England on 27 January 2013, while the first Twenty20 match was played between India and South Africa on 2 October 2015.

Most of the times in the world's beautiful cricket stadium located in Dharamsala, it has been seen that matches are canceled due to rain, although the ground drying system was also present here after the rain stopped, but it was operated only through old technology. And it takes about one and a half to two hours to dry the ground. This is the reason why the excavation of this beautiful cricket stadium of the world has started once again.

Now the old outfield of this ground is being uprooted and a new outfield is being prepared, the work of which has started. On the lines of Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, a sub-air drainage system is being installed in it. This drainage system will be activated as soon as the raindrops fall on the ground. This new technology drainage system will reduce the time taken for drying the ground after rain and make the ground ready for play quickly. It is believed that this system will make the outfield playable soon after the rain stops. 

In this system, perforated pipes are being put in the outfield of the entire field. There are small holes in it and with the help of these holes water can be taken out through these pipes. Along with this, the best quality mix Bermuda grass will also be planted, after which the ground can be dried in 20 minutes as soon as the rain stops. Many other facilities are also being provided in the field. Modern technology popup system or modern raingun will also be installed for watering the field.
