बीरबल की बुद्धिमत्ता

 लगभग सभी लोग अकबर - बीरबल की प्रसिद्ध कहानियों से अवगत हैं, साथ ही बीरबल की बुद्धिमत्ता और बुद्धिमानीपूर्ण लिए गए निर्णयों से भी। एक बार की बात है बीरबल की बुद्धिमानी के चर्चे हर तरफ फैल गए थे। कुछ ही दिनों में यह बात इरान के राजा को भी पता लगी। बीरबल के बारे में पता लगने पर उन्होंने बीरबल का परीक्षण करने का फैसला किया। राजा ने तीन मूर्तियों को अकबर के दरबार में भेजा। तीनों मूर्तियां देखने में बिल्कुल एक जैसी थी। मूर्तियों के साथ एक पत्र भी था, जिसमें यह लिखा हुआ था कि तीन मूर्तियों में से "अच्छे, खूबसूरत और बुरे व्यक्ति" की पहचान करनी है और उस पर अंकित करके उन्हें वापस भेजना है। अगर ऐसा नहीं हुआ तो सम्राट अकबर अपनी असफलता को स्वीकार करेंगे।

इसे पूरा करना एक मुश्किल काम था, क्योंकि सभी मूर्तियां देखने में बिल्कुल एक जैसी दिखती थी। कुछ समय तक जब यह गुत्थी किसी से ना सुलझ पाई, तो अकबर ने बीरबल को मदद के लिए बुलाने का फैसला किया। उन्होंने बीरबल को सारी बातें बताई।

राजा अकबर की बात सुनकर बीरबल तीनों मूर्तियों को अपने साथ घर ले गए और इस पहेली को सुलझाने के लिए एक दिन का समय मांगा। अगले दिन जब बीरबल वापस दरबार में आए, तो अकबर ने उनसे पूछा कि क्या तुम तीनों मूर्तियों में अच्छा, बुरा और सबसे सुंदर की पहचान कर पाए। 

बीरबल ने अकबर को बताया कि तीनों मूर्तियों के कान में एक छोटा सा छेद है। पहली मूर्ति में छेद मुंह की ओर जाता है, दूसरी मूर्ति में यह दूसरे कान की ओर जाता है तथा तीसरे में यह पेट की ओर जाता है लेकिन वहां अटक जाता है। इसलिए निष्कर्ष में पहला 'बुरा' है, दूसरा 'तटस्थ(अच्छा)' है और तीसरा 'सबसे खूबसूरत' है। बीरबल ने दरबार में मौजूद सभी लोगों को प्रत्येक मूर्ति के छिपे हुए अर्थ के बारे में विस्तार से बताया और एक बार फिर अपनी बुद्धिमत्ता को साबित किया।

तत्पश्चात तीनों मर्तियों पर अलग-अलग अच्छा, बुरा और सबसे सुंदर अंकित कर ईरान के राजा को वापस भेज दिया गया। प्रभावित राजा ने सम्राट अकबर और उनके बुद्धिमान महामंत्री बीरबल की प्रशंसा करते हुए एक पत्र भेजा।

Birbal's Intelligence

 Almost everyone is aware of Akbar-Birbal's famous stories, as well as Birbal's intelligence and wise decisions. Once upon a time, the discussions of Birbal's intelligence had spread everywhere. Within a few days, the king of Iran also came to know about this. Upon finding out about Birbal, he decided to test Birbal. The king sent three idols to Akbar's court. The three idols were exactly the same in view. The statues were also accompanied by a letter stating that one of the three idols was to identify the "good, beautiful and evil person" and inscribed on it and send it back. If this did not happen then Emperor Akbar would accept his failure.

 It was a difficult task to complete, as all the sculptures looked exactly alike. For some time, when this knuckle could not be solved by anyone, Akbar decided to call Birbal for help. He told all things to Birbal.

 Hearing King Akbar, Birbal took the three idols home with him and asked for a day's time to solve the riddle. The next day when Birbal came back to the court, Akbar asked him if you could identify the good, the bad and the most beautiful among the three idols.

 Birbal tells Akbar that the three idols have a small hole in their ear. In the first statue, the hole leads to the mouth, in the second statue it goes to the second ear and in the third it goes towards the stomach but gets stuck there. Hence in conclusion the first is 'bad', the second is 'neutral (good)' and the third is 'most beautiful'. Birbal elaborated on the hidden meaning of each idol to everyone present in the court and once again proved his intelligence.

 Thereafter, the king of Iran was sent back with different good, bad and most beautiful inscriptions on the three beads. The affected king sent a letter praising Emperor Akbar and his wise general minister Birbal.
