(सायनाइड से भी खतरनाक है इसका जहर )

आज हम आपको समुद्र के जाने अनजाने उन अनगिनत जीवों में से एक ऐसे जीव के बारे में बताएंगे जिसका जहर कोबरा के जहर से भी ज्यादा खतरनाक है।

जी हां, दुनिया में ऐसे बहुत सारे जहरीले जीव - जंतु पाए जाते हैं, जिनके जहर से हमारी जान भी जा सकती है। ऐसा ही एक खतरनाक समुद्री जीव है, जिसका नाम स्टोन फिश है। यह मछली बाकी मछलियों से काफी अलग और खतरनाक होती हैं। दरअसल, पत्थर की तरह दिखने वाली स्टोन फिश को छूते ही 0.5 सेकंड में ही अपने जहर छोड़ देती है। इस मछली पर अगर हम अपना पैर रखते हैं तो यह अपने ऊपर पड़ने वाले वजन की मात्रा में  न्यूरोटॉक्सिंस जहर निकालती है। अगर इस मछली से कोई अंग प्रभावित हो जाता है, तो जान बचाने के लिए उसे तत्काल काट दिया जाता है ।

 यह मछली इंडो पेसिफिक के तटीय क्षेत्रों में पाई जाती है। इस की विभिन्न प्रजातियां उत्तरी हिंद महासागर से सोलोमन द्वीप तक, भारत से चीन, फिलिपींस ,न्यू गिनी, ऑस्ट्रेलिया ,पापुआ, वानु अतु, लाल सागर और फारस की खाड़ी में पाई गई है। हालांकि यह समुद्री जीव है, परंतु कुछ प्रजातियां इनकी नदियों में भी पाई गई हैं। इसकी प्रजातियों में शक्तिशाली न्यूरोटॉक्सिंस पाए जाते हैं, जो सुई की तरह पृष्ठीय पंखों के आधार पर ग्रंथियों से स्रावित होते हैं, जो गड़बड़ी या खतरे में पड़ने पर चिपक जाते हैं। इस प्रजाति का विलक्षण नाम 'स्टोन फिश' पत्थर के रंग के समान उसके धूसर और धब्बेदार छलावरण से  निकला है। पत्थर के जैसा दिखने के कारण लोग इसे आसानी से देख या पहचान नहीं पाते, इसलिए कई समुद्री तटों पर लिखा होता है कि इस जैसे जीव के दिखने पर तुरंत भाग कर अपनी जान बचाएँ ।

ऐसे बहुत से लोग हैं जिन्हें घूमने का शौक होता है, इन लोगों के लिए बेहतर यही होगा कि कहीं भी जाने से पहले उस जगह की पूरी जानकारी प्राप्त कर लें।

 Yes, many such poisonous creatures are found in the world, whose poison can also kill us.  One such dangerous sea creature is named Stone Fish.  These fish are quite different and dangerous from other fish.  Actually, the stone that looks like a stone releases its poison within 0.5 seconds of touching the fish.  If we put our foot on this fish, it removes the neurotoxins poison in the amount of weight that falls on it.  If an organ is affected by this fish, it is immediately bitten to save life.

  This fish is found in the coastal areas of Indo Pacific.  Various species of it have been found from the northern Indian Ocean to the Solomon Islands, from India to China, the Philippines, New Guinea, Australia, Papua, Vanu Atu, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.  Although it is a marine organism, some species have also been found in their rivers.  Its species contains powerful neurotoxins, secreted from the glands at the base of the needle-like dorsal fin, which become clogged when disturbed or endangered.  The unique name of this species is derived from its gray and speckled camouflage similar to the color of stone.  Due to its resemblance to stone, people are not able to see or recognize it easily, so it is written on many beaches that to save their lives by running away immediately on seeing such a creature.
