विश्व का सबसे बड़ा मंदिर

अंगकोर वाट के महान मंदिर के प्रवेश द्वार पर पौराणिक नाग की मूर्ति, सात सिरों वाले सर्प रक्षक और संरक्षक सिंह की मूर्ति है। यह हिन्दू मन्दिर कम्बोडिया के अंकोर में है जिसका पुराना नाम 'यशोधरपुर' था।

यह छवि कंबोडिया के सिएम रीप में स्थित अंगकोर वाट की है। अंगकोर वाट यूनेस्को की विश्व धरोहर स्थल है और दुनिया के सबसे बड़े धार्मिक स्मारकों में से एक है। मूल रूप से 12वीं शताब्दी में राजा सूर्यवर्मन द्वितीय द्वारा भगवान विष्णु को समर्पित एक हिंदू मंदिर के रूप में निर्मित, यह बाद में एक बौद्ध मंदिर बन गया। यहाँ देखा गया सात सिर वाला नाग (नाग) ब्रह्मांडीय ऊर्जा, जल और सुरक्षा का प्रतीक है, जो हिंदू और बौद्ध प्रतिमा विज्ञान का अभिन्न अंग है। अंगकोर वाट की भव्यता खमेर साम्राज्य की उल्लेखनीय कलात्मकता और आध्यात्मिक भक्ति को दर्शाती है।

अंगकोर वाट का मंदिर प्रांगण जो कि केवल हिन्दू धर्म नहीं, बल्कि सभी धर्मो के धार्मिक स्मारकों में सबसे बड़ा है। आज जानते है कुछ तथ्य हमारी संस्कृति के इस अनसुने अध्याय के बारे में, दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा हिंदू मंदिर, 800 साल से भी ज्यादा पुराना है अंगकोर वाट का मंदिर (Angkorwat Temple)।

1 - अंगकोर वाट का मंदिर कंबोडिया देश में स्थित है, जी हां, सबसे बड़ा हिन्दू मंदिर भारत में नहीं है।

2 - इसका निर्माण खमेर राजवंश के राजा सूर्यवर्मन द्वारा कराया गया था, जो कि भगवान विष्णु को समर्पित है।

3 - यह प्रांगण 402 एकड़ भूमि में फैला है, आप इसकी भव्यता का अंदाजा इस बात से लगा सकते है कि इस प्रांगण में 227 फुटबाल के मैदान आसानी से समा सकते है।

4 - इस मंदिर का कंबोडिया में इतना महत्व है कि आप उनके राष्ट्रीय ध्वज पर इस मंदिर को देख सकते है।

5- मंदिर दो भागो में विभाजित पहला भाग मंदिर की मुख्य इमारत तथा दूसरा भाग उसका बरामदा इस मंदिर की संरचना बाहर से अंदर की ओर जाने पर ऊपर की ओर उठती सी प्रतीत होती है, इसका कारण है कि यह हिन्दू धर्म के मेरु पर्वत का निरूपण करता है।

6 - कंबोज के इस मंदिर को मौलिक रूप से शिव को समर्पित किया गया था। लेकिन बाद में इसे विष्णु भगवान से जोड़ दिया गया। हालांकि यहाँ त्रिदेव –ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश की मूर्तियाँ एक साथ मौजूद हैं।

7 - एक समय ऐसा आया कि ये मंदिर खंडहर में तब्दील हो चुका था लेकिन जनवरी 1860 में एक फ्रांसीसी रिसर्चर हेनरी महोत ने इसे फिर से दुनिया की नज़रों में लाने का काम किया। 18 वी सदी में हेनरी मौहोत ने अपने यात्रा वर्णन से पश्चिमी देशों में इस स्मारक का वर्णन कुछ इन शब्दों में किया है।

इतिहास को खुद में समेटे कभी गुमनाम रहा ये मंदिर आज यूनेस्को के विश्व धरोहर में शामिल है। मंदिर वास्तुकला के अनुपम नमूना पेश करते हुए भारत की प्राचीनता और कंबोडियाई कनेक्शन को सहेजे हुए है। मीकांग नदी के किनारे सिमरिप शहर में बने इस मंदिर को देखने दुनियाभर से लोग आते हैं। खास बात है कि ये मंदिर 1983 से कंबोडिया के राष्ट्रध्वज पर भी अंकित है। जानकर खुशी होगी कि वर्ष 1986 से लेकर वर्ष 1993 तक भारत के पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण विभाग ने इस मंदिर को संरक्षित करने के साथ ही संवारने का काम किया है। ये अपने आप में अपनापन को दर्शाने के लिए काफी है। जड़ों में जाएँगे तो पाएँगे कि कंबोडिया की धरती को भारत से आए शासकों ने ना केवल आबाद किया है, बल्कि इसे बनाया और सजाया भी है।

The entrance to the great temple of Angkor Wat features a statue of the mythical serpent, the seven-headed serpent protector and the guardian lion. This Hindu temple is located in Angkor, Cambodia, whose old name was 'Yashodharapur'.

The temple courtyard of Angkor Wat is the largest of all religious monuments, not just Hinduism. Today we know some facts about this unheard chapter of our culture, the world's largest Hindu temple, Angkorwat Temple is more than 800 years old.

This temple, which was once anonymous and contains history in itself, is today included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Presenting a unique example of temple architecture, it preserves the antiquity of India and the Cambodian connection. People from all over the world come to see this temple built in the city of Simrip on the banks of the Mekong River. The special thing is that this temple has also been inscribed on the national flag of Cambodia since 1983. You will be happy to know that from the year 1986 to the year 1993, the Archaeological Survey of India has preserved this temple as well as beautified it. This in itself is enough to show affinity.
