बसंत पंचमी का त्योहार हिंदू धर्म में काफी महत्वपूर्ण माना गया है। इस दिन विद्या और ज्ञान की देवी मां सरस्वती का पूजन होता है। मान्यता है कि बसंत पंचमी के दिन मां सरस्वती की पूजा करने से बुद्धि व विद्या का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त होता है।

मान्यता के अनुसार इस दिन ज्ञान, विद्या, वाणी, संगीत और कला की अधिष्ठात्री देवी मां सरस्वती का जन्म हुआ था। बसंत पंचमी का पर्व माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी तिथि को मनाते हैं। बसंत को ऋतुओं  का राजा कहा जाता है।

हमारे पौराणिक धर्म ग्रंथों में बसंत को अत्यंत शुभ माना गया है। पतझड़ के बाद बसंत ऋतु आती है। भगवान कृष्ण ने स्वयं कहा है कि "ऋतुओं में मैं बसंत हूं."। बसंत में मौसम सामान्य होने लगता है। सर्द हवाओं के तेवर कमजोर पड़ने लगते हैं।  बंसत ऋतु में ना तो ज्यादा सर्दी होती है और ना ही गर्मी। इसलिए बंसत को ऋतुओं का राजा कहा जाता है। 

पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार  भगवान विष्णु की आज्ञा से ब्रह्मा जी ने सृष्टि का प्रारंभ किया और मनुष्य की रचना की,  लेकिन वे अपने सर्जन से संतुष्ट नहीं थे। उन्हें लगता था कि कुछ कमी रह गई है, जिसके कारण चारों ओर मौन छाया रहता है। इसके बाद भगवान विष्णु जी से सलाह लेकर ब्रह्मा जी ने अपने कमण्डल से जल छिड़का। जैसे ही जल की छीटें पृथ्वी पर बिखरीं तो उसमें कंपन होने लगा और एक अद्भुत शक्ति का प्राकट्य हुआ। यह प्राकट्य एक चतुर्भुजी सुंदर स्त्री का था, जिसके एक हाथ में वीणा तथा दूसरा हाथ वर मुद्रा में था। अन्य दोनों हाथों में पुस्तक एवं माला थी।              

ब्रह्मा जी ने देवी से वीणा बजाने का अनुरोध किया। जैसे ही देवी ने वीणा बजाना शुरू किया, पूरे संसार में एक मधुर ध्वनि फैल गई। संसार के जीव-जन्तुओं को वाणी प्राप्त हो गई। तब ब्रह्मा जी ने उन्हें वाणी की देवी सरस्वती कहा।. मां सरस्वती विद्या और बुद्धि प्रदान करती हैं. बसंत पंचमी के दिन वे प्रकट हुईं थीं, इसलिए बसन्त पंचमी के दिन इनका जन्मदिन मनाया जाता है।आज के दिन मां सरस्वती की विधि विधान से पूजा की जाती है और विद्या और बुद्धि का वरदान मांगा जाता है.

बसंत लोगों का मनचाहा मौसम है, बसंत फूलों में बहार आने का मौसम है,खेतों में पीले चमकते सोने सदृश सरसों के फूलने का मौसम है, जौ और गेहूं की बालियों के खिलने का मौसम है,आम के पेड़ों पर बौर आने का मौसम है,हर तरफ रंग बिरंगी तितलियों के उड़ने का मौसम है,फूलों पर भौरों के मंडराने का मौसम है। साथ ही बसंत भगवान विष्णु और कामदेव की पूजा का भी मौसम है।

आइए हम सभी इस समय तनाव रहित होकर ,खुश हों और सभी को खुशियां बांटें।

The festival of Basant Panchami is considered very important in Hinduism. Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning and knowledge, is worshiped on this day. It is believed that worshiping Goddess Saraswati on Basant Panchami brings blessings of wisdom and knowledge.

According to the belief, Goddess Saraswati, the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, speech, music and art, was born on this day. The festival of Basant Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magha month. Spring is called the king of seasons.

In our mythological religious texts, spring is considered very auspicious. After autumn comes spring. Lord Krishna himself has said that "I am the spring in the seasons". In the spring the weather starts returning to normal. The cold winds start to weaken. There is neither much cold nor heat in the spring season. That is why spring is called the king of seasons.

According to mythological belief, with the orders of Lord Vishnu, Brahma started the universe and created man, but he was not satisfied with his creation. They felt that something was missing, due to which there was silence all around. After this, taking advice from Lord Vishnu, Brahma ji sprinkled water from his kamandal. As soon as the water splashes on the earth, it started vibrating and a wonderful power appeared. This appearance was that of a four-armed beautiful woman, holding a veena in one hand and a boar in the other hand. In the other two hands were a book and a garland.

Brahma ji requested the goddess to play the veena. As soon as the goddess started playing the veena, a melodious sound spread throughout the world. The creatures of the world got the voice. Then Brahma ji called her Saraswati, the goddess of speech. Maa Saraswati bestows knowledge and wisdom. She appeared on the day of Basant Panchami, hence her birthday is celebrated on Basant Panchami. On this day, Goddess Saraswati is worshiped by law and the boon of knowledge and wisdom is sought.

Spring is the season of people's favorite, Spring is the season for flowers to come out, It is the season of mustard blossoms like shining yellow gold in the fields, It is the season of blooming of barley and wheat earrings, It is the season of blossoming mango trees, It is the season for colorful butterflies to fly everywhere, it is the season for the blooming of the flowers. Along with this, spring is also the season of worship of Lord Vishnu and Cupid.
