हां जी, ब्राजील में एक ऐसा झील है जहां पानी का रंग कोका कोला (coca cola) रंग का है। दरअसल झील का नाम अराराक्वारा झील (Araraquara Lake) है, लेकिन जल्द ही यह पेय के समान पानी के रंग के कारण कोका कोला नाम से लोकप्रिय हो गया। 

यह झील माता द एस्ट्रेला (Mata da Estrela) में स्थित है। माता द एस्ट्रेला (Mata da Estrela) रियो ग्रांडे डो नॉर्ट (Rio Grande do Norte)  राज्य में फॉर्मोसा बे में स्थित एक महान अटलांटिक वर्षावन रिजर्व है।

माता दा एस्ट्रेला, रियो ग्रांडे डो नॉर्ट (Rio Grande do Norte) में बाया फॉर्मोसा (Baía Formosa) की नगर पालिका में है। रिजर्व को 30 मार्च 2000 को ब्राज़ीलियाई पर्यावरण और नवीकरणीय प्राकृतिक संसाधन संस्थान (IBAMA) के तत्कालीन अध्यक्ष मारिलिया मारेको सेर्कीरा द्वारा बनाया गया था। इसके आकार के कारण इसका नाम 'माता दा एस्ट्रेला' (स्टार फारेस्ट) पड़ा। रिजर्व में अटलांटिक वन का एक हिस्सा एक ऐसे क्षेत्र में है जहां गन्ने के बागानों के लिए रास्ता बनाने के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर वनों की कटाई की गई थी।

पानी का रंग ऐसा क्यों है ? 

गहरे रंग के पानी के पीछे का वैज्ञानिक कारण जमीन की रासायनिक संरचना है, जिसे आयरन ऑक्साइड और आयोडीन और वर्णक से भरपूर बताया जाता है, जो पौधों की जड़ों से मिलता है। ब्राजील के पर्यटन वेबसाइट के अनुसार, पानी गंदा नहीं है और स्नान या तैरने के लिए पूरी तरह से साफ है। हालांकि, झील में कोई कार्बोनेशन नहीं है, यह प्राकृतिक रूप से गहरे रंग की है।इस झील का अनोखा पानी ही इसे असामान्य और आकर्षक पर्यटन स्थल बनाता है। वास्तव में, कुछ स्थानीय लोगों का मानना है कि इस पानी में उपचार शक्तियां हैं।

This lake is located in Mata da Estrela. Mata da Estrela is a Great Atlantic rainforest reserve located in Formosa Bay in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

Mata da Estrella is in the municipality of Baía Formosa in the Rio Grande do Norte. The reserve was created on 30 March 2000 by Marília Marecco Cerqueira, then president of the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA). Due to its size, it got its name 'Mata da Estrella' (Star Forest). Part of the Atlantic Forest in the reserve is in an area that was extensively deforested to make way for sugarcane plantations.
