महावीर जयंती

 जैन धर्म के 24वें तीर्थंकर भगवान महावीर के जन्म दिवस को आज महावीर जयंती के नाम से मनाया जाता है। जैन समाज द्वारा पूरे भारतवर्ष में भगवान महावीर के जन्म उत्सव के रूप में महावीर जयंती मनाई जाती है। जैन धर्म के तीर्थंकर महावीर स्वामी जी का जन्म चैत्र शुक्ल त्रयोदशी के मंगल दिन बिहार के वैशाली कुंड ग्राम में राजा सिद्धार्थ राज प्रासाद में हुआ था।

महावीर जयंती जैन समुदाय का सबसे बड़ा पर्व माना जाता है। चैत्र माह के 13वें दिन यानी चैत्र शुक्ल त्रयोदशी को जैन दिगंबर और श्वेतांबर एक साथ मिलकर इस उत्सव को मनाते हैं।

जैन धर्म के 24वें तीर्थंकर महावीर स्वामी अहिंसा के मूर्तिमान प्रतीक है। उनका जीवन त्याग और तपस्या से परिपूर्ण था। उन्होंने एक लंगोटी तक का परिग्रह नहीं रखा। हिंसा, पशु बलि, जाती पाती के भेदभाव जिस युग में बढ़ गए उसी, युग में ही भगवान महावीर ने जन्म लिया। उन्होंने दुनिया को सत्य अहिंसा का पाठ पढ़ाया। पूरी दुनिया को उपदेश दिया।

महावीर स्वामी के माता-पिता जैन धर्म के 23वें तीर्थंकर पार्श्वनाथ (पार्श्वनाथ महावीर से 250 वर्ष पूर्व हुए थे) के अनुयायी थे। महावीर जब शिशु अवस्था में थे, तब इंद्र और देव ने उन्हें सुमेरु पर्वत पर ले जाकर प्रभु का जन्म कल्याणक मनाया। महावीर स्वामी का बचपन राजमहल में बिता। युवावस्था में यशोदा नामक राजकन्या से महावीर का विवाह हुआ तथा प्रियदर्शना नामक उन्हें एक पुत्री भी हुई। जब वे 28 वर्ष के थे तभी उनके माता-पिता का देहांत हो गया। बड़े भाई नंदी वर्धन के आग्रह पर महावीर 2 वर्षों तक घर में रहे। आखिर 30 वर्ष की उम्र में उन्होंने मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण दशमी के दिन दीक्षा ग्रहण की।

महावीर स्वामी ने तप संयम और साधना की और पंच महाव्रत रूपी धर्म चलाया। उन्हें इस बात का अनुभव हो गया था कि इंद्रियों, विषय - वासनाओं के सुख दूसरों को दुख पहुंचा करके ही पाए जा सकते हैं। अतः उन्होंने सबसे प्रेम का व्यवहार करते हुए दुनियाभर को अहिंसा का पाठ पढ़ाया। महावीर कहते थे कि धर्म सबसे उत्तम है। अहिंसा, संयम और तप ही धर्म है। महावीर स्वामी कहते थे जो धर्मात्मा है जिनके मन में सदा धर्म रहता है उसे देवता भी नमस्कार करते हैं।

महावीर स्वामी ने अपने प्रवचनों में धर्म, सत्य, अहिंसा, ब्रह्मचर्य और अपरिग्रह क्षमा पर सबसे अधिक जोर दिया और संयम, प्रेम और करुणा, शील और सदाचार ही उनके प्रवचनों के मुख्य अंश थे। महावीर स्वामी ने चतुर्भुज संघ की स्थापना की। देश के विभिन्न भागों में घूमकर महावीर स्वामी ने अपना पवित्र संदेश फैलाया।

उन्होंने दुनिया को पंचशील के सिद्धांत बताएं। इसके अनुसार के सिद्धांत सत्य, अपरिग्रह, अस्तेय, अहिंसा और क्षमा है। उन्होंने अपने कुछ खास उद्देश्यों के माध्यम से दुनिया को सही राह दिखाने की कोशिश की है। अनेक प्रवचनों से दुनिया का सही मार्गदर्शन किया है।

महावीर स्वामी के पंचशील सिद्धांत

सत्य: सत्य के बारे में भगवान महावीर स्वामी कहते हैं, हे पुरुष! तू सत्य को ही सच्चा तत्व समझ। जो बुद्धिमान सत्य की ही आज्ञा में रहता है, वह मृत्यु को तैर कर पार कर जाता है।

अहिंसा: इस लोक में जितने भी त्रस जीव (एक, दो, तीन, चार और पांच इंद्रिय वाले जीव) आदि की हिंसा मत कर, उनको उनके पद पर जाने से ना रोको। उनके प्रति अपने मन में दया का भाव रखो। उनकी रक्षा करो। यही अहिंसा का संदेश भगवान महावीर अपने उपदेशों से हमें देते हैं।

अपरिग्रह: अपरिग्रह पर भगवान महावीर कहते हैं कि जो आदमी खुद सजीव या निर्जीव चीजों का संग्रह करता है, दूसरों से ऐसा संग्रह कराता है या दूसरों को ऐसे संग्रह करने की सम्मति देता है, उसको दुखों से कभी छुटकारा नहीं मिल सकता। यही संदेश अपरिग्रह के माध्यम से भगवान महावीर दुनिया को देना चाहते हैं।

ब्रम्हचर्य : महावीर स्वामी ब्रम्हचर्य के बारे में बहुत ही अनमोल उपदेश देते हैं कि ब्रम्हचर्य उत्तम तपस्या, नियम, ज्ञान, दर्शन, चारित्र, संयम और विनय की जड़ है। तपस्या में ब्रह्मार्चय श्रेष्ठ तपस्या है। जो पुरुष, स्त्रियों से संबंध नहीं रखते वह मोक्ष मार्ग की ओर बढ़ते हैं।

क्षमा: क्षमा के बारे में भगवान महावीर कहते हैं- 'मैं सब जीवो से क्षमा चाहता हूं। जगत के सभी जीवो के प्रति मेरा मैत्रीभाव है। मेरा किसी से वैर नहीं है। मैं सच्चे हृदय से धर्म में स्थिर हुआ हूं। सब जीवों से मैं सारे अपराधो की क्षमा मांगता हूं। सब जीवो ने मेरे प्रति जो अपराध किए हैं, उन्हें में क्षमा करता हूं।'

वे यह भी कहते हैं- 'मैंने अपने मन में जिन-जिन पाप की वृत्तीयों का संकल्प किया हो, वचन से जो-जो पापवृत्तीय प्रकट की हो, और शरीर से जो-जो पापवृत्तियां की हो, मेरी वह सभी पापवृत्तियां विफल हों। मेरे वे सारे पाप मिथ्या हों।

उन्होंने अपने जीवन काल में अहिंसा का भरपूर विकास किया। महावीर को 'वर्धमान', 'वीर', 'अतिवीर' भी कहा जाता है। पूरे विश्व को अध्यात्म का पाठ पढ़ाने वाले भगवान महावीर ने 72 वर्ष की आयु में कार्तिक कृष्ण अमावस्या की रात्रि में पावापुरी नगरी में मोक्ष प्राप्त किया।

भगवान महावीर के निर्वाण समय उपस्थित अट्ठारह गणराजाऔं ने रत्नों के प्रकाश से उस रात्रि को आलोकित करके भगवान महावीर का निर्वाण उत्सव मनाया।

 The birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, is celebrated today as Mahavir Jayanti. Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated by the Jain society as the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira throughout India. Mahavir Swami Ji, the Tirthankara of Jainism, was born on the day of Chaitra Shukla Trayodashi in King Siddharth Raj Prasad in Vaishali Kund village of Bihar.

 Mahavir Jayanti is considered to be the biggest festival of the Jain community. Jain Digambara and Shvetambara together celebrate this festival on the 13th day of Chaitra month i.e. Chaitra Shukla Trayodashi.

 Mahavir Swami, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, is the embodied symbol of non-violence. His life was full of sacrifice and penance. He did not hold even a loincloth. Violence, animal sacrifice, discrimination of caste and caste have increased in the same era in which Lord Mahavira was born. He taught the world the lesson of true non-violence. Preached to the whole world.

 Mahavir Swami's parents were followers of the 23rd Tirthankara Parshvanath (Parsvanath was 250 years before Mahavir) of Jainism. When Mahavira was in infancy, Indra and Dev took him to Mount Sumeru and celebrated the birth of Lord Kalyana. Mahavir Swami spent his childhood in the palace. Mahavir was married to Rajakanya named Yashoda in his youth and he also had a daughter named Priyadarshana. His parents died when he was 28 years old. Mahavira stayed in the house for 2 years on the request of elder brother Nandi Vardhan. After all, at the age of 30, he took initiation on the day of Margashirsha Krishna Dashami.

 Mahavir Swami practiced austerity and meditation and practiced the religion of Panch Mahavrata. He had realized that the pleasures of senses, senses and lusts can be found only by hurting others. Therefore, he taught the lesson of non-violence to the world, behaving in the most loving manner. Mahavira used to say that religion is the best. Religion is non-violence, moderation and asceticism. Mahavir Swami used to say that the God who is always righteous in his mind is also greeted by the Gods.

 Mahavir Swami placed the highest emphasis on religion, truth, non-violence, celibacy and unforgiving forgiveness in his discourses, and moderation, love and compassion, modesty and virtue were the main parts of his discourses. Mahavir Swami established the Chaturbhuj Sangh. Mahavir Swami spread his holy message by roaming in different parts of the country.

 He told the world the principles of Panchsheel. According to this the principles are Truth, Aparigraha, Astheya, Non-Violence and Forgiveness. He has tried to show the world the right path through some of his special objectives. He has guided the world properly through many discourses.

 Panchsheel Principles of Mahavir Swami

 Satya: Regarding the truth, Lord Mahavir Swami says, O man! You consider truth as the true element. The one who remains in the command of the wise truth transcends death.

 Non-violence: Do not commit violence to all the truss beings (creatures of one, two, three, four and five senses) etc. in this world, do not stop them from going to their office. Keep a sense of compassion towards them. Protect them This is the message of non-violence that Lord Mahavir gives to us with his teachings.

 Aparigraha: On Aparigraha, Lord Mahavira says that a man who collects living or inanimate things himself, makes such a collection with others or gives consent to others to do such collection, he can never get rid of sorrows. Lord Mahavira wants to convey this message to the world through aparigraha.

 Brahmacharya: Mahavir Swami gives a very precious teaching about Brahmacharya that Brahmacharya is the root of good penance, rules, knowledge, philosophy, character, restraint and humility. Brahmacharya is the best austerity in penance. Men who do not belong to women move towards the path of salvation.

 Forgiveness: Regarding forgiveness, Lord Mahavira says- 'I apologize to all living beings. I have friendship towards all the creatures of the world. I do not hate anyone. I have settled in religion with a sincere heart. I apologize to all beings for all crimes. I forgive all the crimes committed by me.

 They also say- 'All the sins of the sins that I have resolved in my mind, whatever sinful manifestations have been revealed by the word, and all the sinful things which I have done with the body, all my sins will fail. All my sins are false.

 He developed a lot of non-violence in his lifetime. Mahavir is also known as ‘Vardhaman’, ‘Veer’, ‘Atvira’. Lord Mahavir, who taught spiritual lessons to the whole world, attained salvation at the age of 72 in Pavapuri city on the night of Kartik Krishna Amavasya.

 Eighteen Ganarajas, who were present at the time of Lord Mahavira's Nirvana, celebrated the night with the light of gems and celebrated the Maha Nirvana festival of Lord Mahavira.
