मूर्ख कर जाता है सिर्फ बुराई

वाराणसी नरेश के राज बगीचे में एक माली हुआ करता था। वह बहुत दयावान था और उसने बगीचे में बंदरों को भी शरण दे रखी थी। अतः बंदर उसके कृपापात्र और कृतज्ञ थे।

एक बार वाराणसी में सात दिवसीय कोई धार्मिक त्यौहार का आयोजन था। वह माली भी 7 दिनों के लिए उस जलसे मे सम्मिलित होना चाहता था। अतः उसने बंदरों के राजा को अपने पास बुलाया और अपनी अनुपस्थिति में पौधों को पानी देने का निवेदन किया।

बंदरों के राजा ने माली की बात सहर्ष स्वीकार कर ली। जब माली बाग से चला गया, तो उसने अपने सारे बंदर साथियों को बुलाकर उनको पौधों को पानी देने की आज्ञा दी। साथ ही उसने सभी बंदरों को यह भी समझाया कि बंदर जाति उस माली की कृतज्ञ है, इसलिए वह कम से कम पानी का प्रयोग करें क्योंकि माली ने बड़े ही परिश्रम से पानी जुटाया था।

अतः बंदरों के राजा ने सभी बंदरों को सलाह दिया कि वह पौधों की जड़ों की गहराई का अनुमान लगाकर ही उन पर पानी डालें। बंदरों ने ऐसा ही किया फलतः पल भर में बंदरों ने सारा बाग ही उजाड़ डाला।

तभी उधर से गुजरते हुए एक बुद्धिमान राहगीर ने उन्हें ऐसा करते देखा तो टोकते हुए बंदरों को कहा कि पौधों को बर्बाद ना करें। फिर वह राहगीर बुदबुदाते हुए यह कहता हुआ वहां से निकल गया कि,"जबकि करना चाहता है अच्छाई, मूर्ख कर जाता है सिर्फ बुराई।"

Can a fool ever act good

There used to be a gardener in the royal garden of the King of Varanasi. He was very kind and also gave shelter to the monkeys in the garden. So the monkeys were grateful to him and thankful.

Once a seven-day religious festival was held in Varanasi. The gardener also wanted to join the prom for 7 days. So he called the king of monkeys to him and requested to water the plants in his absence.

The king of monkeys accepted gardener's word with pleasure. When gardener's left the garden, he summoned all his monkey companions and ordered them to water the plants. He also explained to all the monkeys that the monkey caste is grateful to that gardener, so he should use water at least because the gardener had toiled hard.

Therefore, the king of monkeys advised all the monkeys to estimate the depth of the roots of the plants and water them. The monkeys did the same, so in a moment the monkeys destroyed the entire garden.

Just then, while passing by, a wise passer-by saw them doing this and asked the monkeys not to ruin the plants. Then he went out from there, muttering the passerby, "While good wants to do good, fool only turns evil
