आज दीवाली है। सारे जमाने की ढेर सारी खुशियां लेकर यह दीवाली आयी है। सबका तन और मन प्रफुल्लित है, लेकिन आजकल सारे त्योहार लोगों के घरों से निकलकर फेसबुक और व्हाट्सएप पर सिमट गया है। एक दूसरे के साथ मिलना-मिलाना तो दूर फोन करने का भी समय नहीं। सारी आत्मीयता अपने खोखले सबूत के रूप में संदेश का रूप धरे फेसबुक और व्हाट्सएप पर नाचती हुयी। 

 सभी संवेदनाएं, भावनाएं व आत्मीय संभावनाएं अब सोशल मीडिया पर दिखाई देती हैं। आइये आप सबको अपने बचपन में ले चलते हैं। बचपन में 

हमारी भी दीवाली होती थी...धनतेरस के पहले ही इस त्योहार की आहट सुनाई पड़ती थी। घर की साफ-सफाई से लेकर खानपान की पूरी तैयारी..माताओं के विशेष योगदान के साथ।

 कहार, धोबी ,महरी को अनाज, पैसा, प्रसाद आदि दिया जाता और त्योहारी की धोती भी। बाजार से मिठाई, अमिरती, बालू सियाही, लाई, गट्टा, च्यूरा आदि की खरीदारी होती। मोमबत्ती, लक्ष्मी-गणेश और ढेर सारे पटाखे आते। हम बच्चों के लिये छोटी पिस्तौल लाते थे और उसके साथ मुर्गा या शेर छाप कारतूस का बॉक्स मिलता।छुरछुरी, लाइट, बच्चों के खाते और अनार, चकरी, रॉकेट, चटाई, बम और बड़का बम (सुतली वाला) बड़ों के हवाले होता था। बड़का बम दगने पर दूसरे मोहल्ले तक आवाज जाती थी। पास पड़ोस के बुढ़े लोग मन ही मन बुदबुदाते...सारे के ढेर पैसा होइ गाइल बा, उधिरान बा... लागत बा, सरवा घरै गिराय देये...

दीवाली की सुबह से ही माताओं के अथक परिश्रम से पकवानों की खुशबू आने लगती। आलू की कचौड़ी, पूड़ी, सूरन की रसेदार, चावल, दाल, सूखी सब्जी, चटनी, अचार आदि दोपहर तक कई राउंड चलता। लजीज पकवानों के साथ नये कपड़े और बच्चों के साथ उमंग...देखते ही बनती थी।

शाम को माँ लक्ष्मी और गणेश भगवान की पूजा होती। अब घर में, द्वार पर, छत पर माताएं हम लोगों से दीया रखवातीं। उसके बाद पटाखों का दौर शुरू होता।

पूजा-पाठ और सुन्दरकाण्ड के वाचन के बाद हम सभी भाई-बहन प्रसाद स्वरूप मिठाई, गट्टे के बाद भोजन करते।देर रात तक जगकर काजल लगने का इंतज़ार करते। मिट्टी के निर्धारित पात्र में पारे गये काजल का लगवाना अनिवार्य होता। जो नहीं लगवायेगा, अगले जनम में छछून्दर होगा...का भय सताता रहता जो आंखों में काजल लगवाने के बाद ही गायब होता।

इस तरह दीवाली होती थी और दूसरे दिन सुबह ही जले दीयों को इकट्ठा किया जाता। जो बच्चा सबसे ज्यादा दीया बटोरता वह विजयी माना जाता।

पूरी दीवाली झालरों की सजावट से लेकर पटाखे, मिठाईयां और सारा त्योहार मुहल्ले के सामूहिक साहचर्य का आख्यान होता था।

आज विकास के इस दौर में सारे त्योहार मनुष्य के व्यक्तित्व, मनोदशा और आपाधापी वाले एकाकी जीवन के कारण मात्र रस्म अदायगी भर रह गए हैं। सारी संवेदनाएं, मनोभाव हृदय से निकलकर अपनी शुष्कता के साथ सिर्फ सोशल मीडिया का हिस्सा हो चली हैं।पूजा-पाठ, दान-दक्षिणा, खान-पान, पहनावे से लेकर जीवन की समस्त गतिविधियां सेल्फ़ी के हवाले हैं।

आत्मीयता, साहचर्य, सहभोज आदि का एहसास हमारे दिलों में पुनः जागृत हो.

 इसी आशा कामना के साथ आप सभी को दीवाली की ढेर सारी बधाई और शुभकामना।

Today is Diwali. This Diwali has come with lots of happiness of all ages. Everybody's body and mind is cheerful, but nowadays, all the festivals have come out of people's houses and are confined on Facebook and WhatsApp. There is not even time to call far to meet with each other. All affinity danced on Facebook and WhatsApp as its hollow evidence.

  All the sensations, feelings and intimate possibilities now appear on social media. Let us take you all in your childhood. in childhood

 We used to have Diwali too… The sound of this festival was heard even before Dhanteras. From the cleanliness of the house to the complete preparation of the catering..with special contribution from the mothers.

 Grain, money, prasad etc. were given to Kahar, Dhobi, Mahri and also Dhoti of festival. Sweets, Emirati, Bal Siyahi, Lai, Gatta, Chura etc. would be purchased from the market. Candles, Lakshmi-Ganesh and many firecrackers came. We used to bring small pistols for children and would have a box of cock or lion imprint cartridges with them. Knives, lights, children's accounts and pomegranates, chakri, rockets, mats, bombs and bakka bombs (twine) were handed over to the elders. The sound used to go to another locality when the bomb was bombed. The elders of the nearby neighborhood murmur in their hearts… They all have a lot of money…

 From the morning of Diwali, the fragrance of the dishes started coming from the tireless efforts of the mothers. Potato Kachori, Poori, Suran's Rasdar, Rice, Pulses, Dry Vegetable, Chutney, Pickle etc. would go on for several rounds till noon. New clothes with delicious dishes and zest with children ... was made on sight.

 Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha would be worshiped in the evening. Now in the house, at the door, on the roof, mothers used to keep lamps for us. After that the firecrackers' phase begins. After worshiping and reciting Sundarakand, all of us would eat food after sweets, gatte as prasad prasad. Waking up till night and waiting for mascara. It would have been compulsory to put mascara in the earthen pot. The one who does not get it, will be chhachundar in the next birth… the fear of persecution which would disappear only after applying mascara in the eyes.

 This way it was Diwali and the lit diyas would be collected on the next morning itself. The child who gathers the most lamps is considered victorious.

 The entire Diwali, from the decorations of the skirts to the crackers, sweets and the whole festival, was a narrative of the collective association of the locality.

 Today, in this phase of development, all the festivals are just filled with rituals due to man's personality, mood and lonely life. All the sensations, emotions have gone out of the heart with their dryness and are just a part of social media. All the activities of life, from worship, recitation, charity, food and clothing, are related to selfies.

 A feeling of intimacy, companionship, companionship etc. should be rekindled in our hearts.
