बुद्धिमान वानर

हजारों साल पहले किसी वन में एक बुद्धिमान बंदर रहता था वह हजार बंदरों का राजा भी था।

एक दिन वह और उसके साथी वन में कूदते - फांदते ऐसी जगह पर पहुंचे जिसके निकट क्षेत्र में कहीं भी पानी नहीं था। नई जगह और नए परिवेश में प्यास से व्याकुल नन्हे वानरों के बच्चे और उनकी माताओं को तड़पते देख उसने अपने अनुचरों को तत्काल ही पानी के किसी स्रोत को ढूंढने की आज्ञा दी।

कुछ ही समय के बाद उन लोगों ने एक जलाशय ढूंढ निकाला। प्यासे बंदरों की जलाशय में कूदकर अपनी प्यास बुझाने की आतुरता को देखकर वानर राज ने उन्हें रोकने की चेतावनी दी, क्योंकि वह उस नए स्थान से अनभिज्ञ था। अतः उसने अपने अनुचरों के साथ जलाशय और उसके तटों का सूक्ष्म निरीक्षण व परीक्षण किया। कुछ ही समय बाद उसने कुछ ऐसे पद चिन्हों को देखा जो जलाशय को उन्मुख तो थे मगर जलाशय से बाहर को नहीं लौटे थे। बुद्धिमान वानर ने तत्काल ही यह निष्कर्ष निकाला कि उस जलाशय में निश्चय ही कोई खतरनाक दैत्य जैसे प्राणी का वास था। जलाशय में देत्यवास की सूचना पाकर सारे ही बंदर हताश हो गए। तब बुद्धिमान वानर ने उनकी हिम्मत बांधते हुए यह कहा कि वे दैत्य के जलाशय से फिर भी अपनी प्यास बुझा सकते हैं, क्योंकि जलाशय के चारों ओर बेंत के जंगल थे जिन्हें तोड़कर उसकी नली से सुड़क सुड़क कर पानी पी सकते थे। सारे वानरों ने ऐसा ही किया और अपनी प्यास बुझा ली।

जलाशय में रहता दैत्य उन्हें देखता रहा, मगर क्योंकि उसकी शक्ति जलाशय तक ही सीमित थी, वह उन बंदरों का कुछ भी नहीं बिगाड़ सका। प्यास बुझा कर सारे बंदर फिर से अपने वन को लौट गए।

Moral (शिक्षा) - बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति अपनी बुद्धिमत्ता के बल पर बड़ी से बड़ी कठिनाइयों पर विजय प्राप्त कर लेता है...

Intelligent apes

Thousands of years ago, a wise monkey lived in a forest, he was also the king of a thousand monkeys.

One day he and his companions jumped in the forest and reached a place where there was no water anywhere near the area. Seeing the thirsty little monkey's children and their mothers suffering from thirst in a new place and new environment, he ordered his servants to immediately find a source of water.

Shortly thereafter, they found a reservoir. Seeing the agony of thirsty monkeys to quench their thirst by jumping into the reservoir, Vanar Raj warns them to stop, as he is unaware of the new place. Then the wise apes braved them, saying that they could still quench their thirst from the monster's reservoir, because there were cane forests around the reservoir which could be broken and drank water from its tube. All the apes did the same and quenched their thirst.

The monster in the reservoir kept looking at them, but because his power was limited to the reservoir, he could not spoil the monkeys. After quenching the thirst, all the monkeys again returned to their forest.

Moral (Education) - The wise person overcomes the greatest difficulties on the strength of his intelligence.
