100 एकड़ में फैला श्रीपुरम और 1500 किग्रा सोने से बना श्री लक्ष्मी नारायणी मंदिर

स्वर्ण मंदिर का नाम आते ही सबसे पहले अमृतसर के स्वर्ण मंदिर की छबि बनती है। पंजाब के स्वर्ण मंदिर के बारे में तो आप सभी ने सुना होगा, लेकिन अपने ही देश में एक ऐसा हिन्दू मंदिर है, जिसमें 1500 किला से ज्यादा सोना लगा है। यह मंदिर है तमिलनाडु के वैल्लोर का गोल्डन टेम्पल। पंजाब का गोल्डन टेम्पल ही विश्व स्तर पर प्रसिद्ध है लेकिन, अपने ही देश के दक्षिण भारतीय राज्य में एक मंदिर मौजूद है, उसको भी गोल्डन टेम्पल के नाम से जाना जाता है। 

दक्षिण भारत के तमिलनाडु में मौजूद "महालक्ष्मी स्वर्ण मंदिर", जिसे "श्रीपुरम गोल्डन टेम्पल" के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। तमिलनाडु के वेल्लोर में मौजूद यह मंदिर अद्वितीय सरंचना और बेहतरीन आध्यात्मिक केंद्र के रूप में भी प्रसिद्ध है। श्रीपुरम गोल्डन टेम्पल का इतिहास भी बेहद दिलचस्प है। कहा जाता है कि इस अद्भुत और अनोखे स्वर्ण मंदिर को बनवाने का विचार नारायणी अम्मा के पास आया था, जिसके बाद इस विशाल मंदिर का निर्माण करवाने का फैसला किया गया। 

यह मंदिर भारत के तमिलनाडु में थिरुमलाइकोडी (मलाइकोडी) वेल्लोर में छोटी पहाड़ियों के तल पर श्रीपुरम आध्यात्मिक पार्क में स्थित है। यह तिरुपति से 120 किमी, चेन्नई से 145 किमी, पुदुचेरी से 160 किमी और बेंगलुरु से 200 किमी दूर है। मंदिर में मुख्यतः देवी श्री लक्ष्मी नारायणी या महालक्ष्मी (धन की देवी) की अराधना की जाती है। महालक्ष्मी का महाकुंभ 24 अगस्त 2007 को आयोजित किया गया था। सभी धर्मों के भक्तों का इस मंदिर में स्वागत किया जाता है। अनुमानतः यह मंदिर 1,500 किलोग्राम शुद्ध सोने से सुसज्जित है, जबकि अमृतसर के स्वर्ण मंदिर के गुंबद को 750 किलो सोने का इस्तेमाल किया गया है।

इस मंदिर को बनाने में लगभग 7 साल का समय लगा और साल 2007 में इस मंदिर का उद्घाटन किया गया। यह मंदिर महालक्ष्मी को समर्पित है। इस मंदिर की वास्तुकला भी बेहद अद्वितीय है। इस मंदिर के दोनों हिस्सों को सोने की पन्नी से कवर किया गया है। जबकि, मंदिर के गर्भ गृह में देवी महालक्ष्मी की एक दिव्य मूर्ति स्थापित है। आपको बता दें कि बीच में मंदिर और चारों तरफ से बेहतरीन पार्क मौजूद है। यह मंदिर देखने में जितना प्यारा है, उतना ही इस मंदिर की मान्यता भी है।

दक्षिण भारत के इस स्वर्ण मंदिर का नाम श्रीपुरम स्वर्ण मंदिर है, जो कुछ हद तक बिल्कुल वैसी ही है, जैसे अमृतसर का स्वर्ण मंदिर है। मतलब, जैसे स्वर्ण मंदिर के किनारे पर तालाब है, तो उसी प्रकार से यह मंदिर भी तालाब के बीचों-बीच स्थित है। लेकिन इ्स मंदिर के तालाब में आपको एक खास अंतर जरूर देखने को मिल जाएगा। दरअसल, अमृतसर स्थित स्वर्ण मंदिर के तालाब में आपको सुनहरी मछलियां देखने को मिलती है और वेल्लोर स्थित श्रीपुरम स्वर्ण मंदिर के तालाब में आपको सोने-चांदी के आभूषण और रुपये-पैसे देखने को मिल जाएंगे।

इस स्वर्ण मंदिर का आकार बिल्कुल एक श्रीयंत्र की तरह दिखता है, जो बेहद आकर्षक है। इस मंदिर के प्रवेश द्वार से मुख्य मंदिर की दूरी करीब 1.5 से 2 किमी. है। इस बीच रास्ते में तमाम जड़ी-बूटियां और कई प्रकार के दुर्गम पेड़-पौधे हैं। इतना ही नहीं, रास्ते में कई आध्यात्मिक संदेश लिखे हुए हैं। 

मंदिर का एक अलग ड्रेस कोड 

श्रीपुरम स्वर्ण मंदिर में दर्शन करने के लिए श्रद्धालुओें के लिए एक ड्रेस कोड रखा गया है, जिसे पहनने के बाद ही मंदिर में प्रवेश करना होता है। मंदिर के अंदर प्रवेश करते समय शॉर्ट पैंट, मिडी और केपरी पहनना सख्त मना है। इसके साथ मंदिर में मोबाइल, कैमरा, तंबाकू या ज्वलंत सामान ले जाना सख्त मना है।

इस स्वर्ण मंदिर की दीवारों पर जो सोने की परतें चढ़ाई गई है, वो मानव निर्मित है। नक्काशीदार तांबे की प्लेटों पर 9 परतों से 10 परतों तक सोने की पन्नी लगाई गई है। इस मंदिर में जो शिलालेख हैं, उनकी कला वेदों से ली गई है। इस पूरे मंदिर की डिजाइन नारायणी अम्मा द्वारा बनायी गई थी।

रात में इस मंदिर की खूबसूरती देखते ही बनती है। रोशनी पड़ने यह मंदिर हजारों दिनों की तरह जगमगा उठता है मंदिर की सुरक्षा में 24 घंटे पुलिस और सिक्योरिटी कंपनियों का पहरा रहता है।

A separate dress code of the temple

A dress code has been kept for the devotees to visit Sripuram Golden Temple, which has to be worn only after entering the temple. Wearing short pants, midi and capri is strictly prohibited while entering the temple. Along with this, carrying mobile, camera, tobacco or inflammable items in the temple is strictly prohibited.

The gold layers on the walls of this Golden Temple are man-made. 9 to 10 layers of gold foil have been applied on carved copper plates. The art of the inscriptions in this temple is taken from the Vedas. The design of this entire temple was made by Narayani Amma.

The beauty of this temple at night is worth seeing. When the light falls on this temple, it shines like a thousand days. The temple is guarded by police and security companies 24 hours a day.
