प्रभु पर विश्वास

एक व्यापारी की बड़ी अच्छी स्थिति थी, व्यवसाय खूब चलता था। पैसा भी खूब था, व्यवधान भी आते थे। एक दिन व्यापारी को नींद ना आई, मन में चैन नहीं था, बहुत बेचैनी थी। पत्नी सरस्वती ने सब देखा तो पूछा क्या बात है? तो बहुत पूछने पर भी कुछ बताया नहीं। दूसरे दिन भी उसकी यही हालत थी। तब पत्नी ने जिद की और कहा - "आपको बताना होगा।" तब व्यापारी ने कहा यह मत पूछो अगर तुम सुनोगी तो तुम्हारी भी मेरी जैसी हालत हो जाएगी। परंतु पत्नी के विशेष आग्रह करने पर उसने कहा कि एक दिन मेरे मन में आया कि यदि सारा काम बंद हो जाए तो अपनी स्थिति क्या रहेगी ?  

तब मैंने सब हिसाब लगाकर देख लिया कि अगर आज व्यवसाय बंद हो जाए तो नौ पीढ़ी तक काम चलने लायक धन होगा। परंतु इसके बाद कुछ नहीं रहेगा, तब बच्चे क्या खाएंगे, फिर कैसे काम चलेगा? यही सब सोचकर मैं व्यथित हो गया हूं , मुझे चिंता हो रही है। 

पत्नी बुद्धिमती थी बोली - "ठीक है, अभी चिंता मत करो कल एक सन्त के पास चलेंगे उनसे अपनी समस्या का हल पूछ लेंगे, आज सो जाओ।" पत्नी ने उन्हें किसी तरह सुला दिया।

अगले दिन जब वे गाड़ी में बैठने लगे तो पत्नी महात्मा जी को देने के लिए गाड़ी में अन्न फल आदि सामान रखवाने लगी, यह देखकर पति ने कहा यह क्यों रखवा रही हो? यह सब तो मैंने कल हिसाब में जोड़ा ही नहीं है।

पति ने कहा - "रोज तो जाना नहीं है ,बस आज ही ले चलना है", तो व्यापारी मान गया। संत के आश्रम में दोनों पहुंचे। व्यापारी की पत्नी ने सब सामान देना चाहा तो संत उन्हें रोकते हुए अपने शिष्य से बोले जा भीतर गुरुवानी से पूछ तो आ कि कितना अन्न आदि शेष है? शिष्य ने पूछ कर बताया कि आज रात तक के लिए सब है। कल सबेरे के लिए नहीं है। 

तब संत ने कहा- "हम तुम्हारी भेंट स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते; क्योंकि इसकी आवश्यकता नहीं है।" पत्नी के विशेष आग्रह करने पर संत ने कहा कि कल की चिंता ठाकुर जी करेंगे। हां, यदि आज के लिए सामान नहीं होता तो मैं रख लेता।

पत्नी से व्यापारी पति बोला - "चलो अब चलते हैं। अभी आपने अपने प्रश्न का समाधान तो पूछा ही नहीं। व्यापारी ने कहा - "अब उसकी जरूरत नहीं मुझे उसका समाधान मिल गया है। संत को कल की चिंता नहीं और मुझे नौ पीढ़ी के आगे की चिंता हो रही है" - प्रभु पर विश्वास नहीं होने पर ही ऐसा होता है।

शिक्षा: कई बार हम निरर्थक एवं अंतहीन कामनाओं के कारण अनावश्यक चिंताओं और तनाव से घिर जाते हैं जबकि कामनाओं को त्याग कर हम सहज ही उस से मुक्त हो सकते हैं। इसी बात को इस कथा के माध्यम से बहुत सहज ही समझा जा सकता है।

A businessman had a very good situation, his business was doing well. There was a lot of money, there were also obstacles. One day the businessman could not sleep, there was no peace in his mind, he was very restless. When wife Saraswati saw everything, she asked what was the matter? So even after asking a lot, he did not tell anything. He was in the same condition the next day also. Then the wife insisted and said - "You have to tell." Then the businessman said, don't ask this, if you listen then you will also be in the same condition as me. But on special request from his wife, he said that one day it came to my mind that if all the work stopped, what would be my condition?

Then I calculated everything and saw that if the business closed today, there would be enough money to last for nine generations. But after this there will be nothing left, then what will the children eat, then how will the work be done? Thinking about all this, I am feeling distressed and worried.

The wife was wise and said - "Okay, don't worry now, tomorrow we will go to a saint and ask him the solution to our problem, sleep today." The wife somehow put him to sleep.

The next day when they started sitting in the car, the wife started keeping food, fruits etc. in the car to give to Mahatma ji. Seeing this, the husband said why are you getting this kept? I haven't even added all this to the calculations yesterday.

The husband said - "I don't have to go every day, I just have to take you today", so the businessman agreed. Both of them reached the saint's ashram. When the merchant's wife wanted to give all the goods, the saint stopped her and said to his disciple, "Go inside and ask Guruvani how much food etc. is left?" The disciple asked and told that everything is till tonight. Not for tomorrow morning.

Then the saint said- "We cannot accept your gift because it is not necessary." On special request of his wife, the saint said that Thakur ji will take care of tomorrow. Yes, if there was no stuff for today, I would have kept it.

The businessman's husband said to his wife - "Let's go now. You haven't asked the solution to your question yet." The businessman said - "There is no need for that now, I have found the solution for it." The saint is not worried about tomorrow and I am worried about the nine generations ahead" - This happens only when there is no faith in God.

Lesson: Many times we get surrounded by unnecessary worries and stress due to meaningless and endless desires whereas we can easily get free from it by giving up the desires. This can be understood very easily through this story.
