अफीम के पौधे की एक अलग प्रजाति है, लैंप्रोकैपनोस (Lamprocapnos), इसी प्रजाति में उगता है ये फूल, जिसे ब्लीडिंग हार्ट (Bleeding Heart) कहते हैं। इस पौधे की खासियत इसके दिल के आकार के फूल हैं। इसको देखने से ऐसे लगता है कि मानो किसी के दिल से खून टपक रहा है, इसलिए इसे यह नाम दिया गया है। इस फूल का बाहरी हिस्सा हल्का गुलाबी रंग का होता है, अंदर का हिस्सा गहरे गुलाबी रंग होता है। 

कई बार इसे लोग 'लेडी इन बाथ' भी कहते हैं। यानी जैसे कोई महिला नहा रही है, लेकिन ये नजारा इसके पूरा खिलने पर दिखता है। ये फूल साइबेरिया, उत्तरी चीन, कोरिया और जापान में मिलता है। 

ब्लीडिंग हार्ट जैसा नाम है, वैसा ही इस पौधे का फूल भी दिखता है। गुलाबी रंग के दिल के आकार के फूल की खूबसूरती इसे प्रेम और करुणा से जोड़ती है। यह लगभग हर मौसम में खिलता है मतलब एक शानदार बारहमासी पौधा है, जो अपनी अनूठी मौजूदगी से सभी का ध्यान अपनी तरफ आकर्षित कर लेता है।
