नर्मदा नदी की कहानी

मान्यता के अनुसार, भारत में एक ऐसी नदी है जहां से निकला हर एक पत्थर शिवलिंग माना जाता है। ग्रंथों में इस नदी को नर्मदा नदी के नाम से जाना जाता है। ऐसा कहते हैं कि गंगा में नहाने से जो फल मिलता है, वही फल नर्मदा नदी में भी स्नान करने से मिलता है। नर्मदा नदी पूरे भारतवर्ष की नदियों में से एक ही है जो पूर्व से पश्चिम की ओर बहती है।

पुराणों के अनुसार, नर्मदा नदी से निकला हर एक पत्थर शिवजी का प्रतीक है। यहां से निकले पत्थरों को शिवलिंग के रूप में स्थापित करके उनकी पूजा की जाती है‌। नर्मदा से निकले शिवलिंग को "नर्मदेश्वर शिवलिंग" कहा जाता है। पौराणिक शास्त्रों के अनुसार, नर्मदा नदी को शिवजी का वरदान प्राप्त है, इसी कारण इससे प्राप्त होने वाले शिवलिंग को पवित्र माना जाता है और सीधा ही स्थापित कर उनकी पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है, इसके प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा की आवश्यकता नहीं होती। कहा जाता है कि जहां नर्मदेश्वर का वास होता है, वहां काल और यम का भय नहीं होता, और वह व्यक्ति समस्त सुखों का भोग करते हुए शिवलोक तक जाता है। इसलिए सभी शिवलिंगों में नर्मदेश्वर शिवलिंग की पूजा सबसे ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण और फलदाई होती है। गृहस्थ लोगों को शिवलिंग की पूजा हर दिन करनी चाहिए। यह परिवार का मंगल करने वाला समस्त सिद्धियों व स्थिर लक्ष्मी देने वाला शिवलिंग है ।

नर्मदा नदी का उल्लेख शिव पुराण में किया गया है, और हैरान करने वाली बात यह है कि यहां से कई बार ऊं लिखे हुए भी शिवलिंग निकलते हैं, जिसे देखने के लिए दूर दूर से लोग यहां आते हैं, और महादेव का चमत्कार देखकर दंग रह जाते हैं।

नर्मदा का "हर कंकर शंकर" है.

भारत में गंगा, यमुना, सरस्वती और नर्मदा सर्वश्रेष्ठ नदियां हैं। इनमें भी इस भूमंडल पर गंगा की समता करने वाली कोई नदी नहीं है।ऐसा कहा जाता है कि प्राचीन काल में नर्मदा नदी ने बहुत सालों तक तपस्या करके ब्रह्मा जी को प्रसन्न किया। ब्रह्मा जी प्रसन्न होकर वर मांगने को कहा। नर्मदा जी ने कहा आप मुझे भी गंगा के समान बना दीजिए, तब ब्रह्मा जी ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा कि, यदि कोई दूसरा देवता भगवान शिव की बराबरी कर ले, कोई दूसरा पुरुष भगवान विष्णु के समान हो जाए, कोई दूसरी नारी पार्वती जी की समानता कर ले और कोई दूसरी नगरी काशीपुरी की बराबरी कर सके तो कोई दूसरी नदी भी गंगा के समान हो सकती है।

नर्मदेश्वर महादेव

ब्रह्मा जी की बात सुनकर नर्मदा जी उनके वरदान का त्याग करके काशी चली गईं, और वहीं पिलपिला तीर्थ में शिवलिंग की स्थापना करके कठिन तप करने लगीं। उनके तप से भगवान शंकर खुश हुए और प्रकट होकर कोई वर मांगने को कहा तब नर्मदा जी ने कहा कि तुच्छ वर मांगने से क्या लाभ! बस आपके चरण कमलों में मेरी भक्ति बनी रहे। नर्मदा की बात सुनकर भगवान शंकर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए और बोले कि तुम्हारे तट पर जितने भी पत्थर हैं सब मेरे वर से शिवलिंग रूप में हो जाएंगे, गंगा में स्नान करने से शीघ्र ही पापों का नाश होता है, यमुना 7 दिन के  स्नान से और सरस्वती 3 दिन के स्नान से पापों का नाश करती हैं, मगर तुम दर्शन मात्र से ही संपूर्ण पापों का नाश करने वाली होगी। तुमने जो नर्मदेश्वर शिवलिंग की स्थापना की है, वह पुण्य और मोक्ष देने वाला होगा उसी समय भगवान शंकर उस शिवलिंग में लीन हो गए। इतनी पवित्रता पाकर नर्मदा भी प्रसन्न हो गईं, इसलिए कहा जाता है कि नर्मदा का हर कंकर शंकर हैं।

According to the belief, there is such a river in India from where every stone that comes out is considered to be a Shivling. In the texts this river is known as Narmada River. It is said that the fruit that one gets by bathing in the Ganges, the same result one gets by bathing in the Narmada river. Narmada river is one of the rivers of whole of India which flows from east to west.

According to the Puranas, every stone that came out of the Narmada river is a symbol of Shiva. The stones emanating from here are worshiped by installing them in the form of Shivling. The Shivling that emerged from Narmada is called Narmadeshwar Shivling. According to mythological scriptures, the Narmada river is blessed by Shiva, that is why the Shivalinga obtained from it is considered holy and is worshiped by installing it directly, it does not require life-prestige. It is said that where Narmadeshwar resides, there is no fear of Kaal and Yama, and that person, enjoying all the pleasures, goes to Shivaloka. Therefore the worship of Narmadeshwar Shivling is most important and fruitful among all Shivlings. The householders should worship Shivling every day. This is the Shivalinga, who blesses the family, gives all the accomplishments and stable Lakshmi.

Narmada river has been mentioned in Shiva Purana, and the surprising thing is that many times Shivling comes out from here, to see which people come from far and wide, and are stunned to see the miracle of Mahadev. go.

"Har Kankar" of Narmada is Shankar.

Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati and Narmada are the best rivers in India. Even among them there is no river on this earth which is equal to the Ganges. It is said that in ancient times, Narmada river pleased Brahma ji by doing penance for many years. Brahma ji was pleased and asked him to ask for a boon. Narmada ji said that you make me like Ganga, then Brahma ji smiled and said that, if any other deity equals Lord Shiva, another man becomes equal to Lord Vishnu, another woman equals Parvati ji. And if any other city can match Kashipuri, then any other river can also be like Ganga.

नर्मदेश्वर महादेव

Hearing the words of Brahma ji, Narmada ji left his boon and went to Kashi, and there after establishing a Shivling in the Pilapila shrine, she started doing hard penance. Lord Shankar was pleased with his tenacity and appeared and asked to ask for a boon, then Narmada ji said that what is the use of asking for a frivolous boon! Just keep my devotion at your lotus feet. Lord Shankar was very pleased after listening to Narmada and said that all the stones on your banks will be taken from my groom in the form of Shivling, bathing in the Ganges destroys sins soon, Yamuna with 7 days bath and Saraswati Bathing for 3 days destroys sins, but you will destroy all sins by mere darshan. The Narmadeshwar Shivling which you have established will be the one who gives virtue and salvation, at the same time Lord Shankar got absorbed in that Shivling. Narmada was also pleased after getting so much purity, that is why it is said that every kankar of Narmada is Shankar.
