जब भी बुद्धिमत्ता, चतुराई और हाजिर जवाबी की बात होती है तो सबसे पहला नाम बीरबल का आता है। वहीं  अकबर बीरबल की जुगलबंदी किसी से छुपी नहीं है। ऐसा कहा भी जाता है कि बीरबल को बादशाह अकबर के नौ रत्नों में से एक अनमोल रत्न माना जाता था। अकबर बीरबल से जुड़ी ऐसी कई कहानियां हैं जो हर किसी को गुदगुदा जाती हैं। हमलोग भी यहां 15 कहानियाँ पढ़ चुके हैं। इसी क्रम में एक और कहानी जो कि हमेशा से हंसी का विषय रहा है। ये कहानी उस सवाल के बारे में है जो सभी लोगों ने बचपन में कभी न कभी सुना ही होगा और पूछा ही होगा मुर्गी पहले आई कि अंडा। 

एक दिन की बात है - बादशाह अकबर की राज्यसभा में एक ज्ञानी पंडित आया हुआ था। वह कुछ सवालों के जवाब बादशाह से जानना चाहता था, लेकिन बादशाह के लिए उसके सवालों का जवाब देना मुश्किल हो गया। इसलिए उन्होंने पंडित के सवालों के जवाब देने के लिए बीरबल को आगे कर दिया। बीरबल की चतुराई से सभी वाकिफ थे और सभी को उम्मीद थी कि बीरबल पंडित के सभी सवाल का जवाब आसानी से दे सकते हैं। 

पंडित ने बीरबल से कहा, "मैं तुम्हें दो विकल्प देता हूं। एक या तो तुम मुझे मेरे 100 आसान से सवाल के जवाब दो या फिर मेरे एक मुश्किल सवाल का जवाब दो।" बीरबल ने सोच विचार करने के बाद कहा कि मैं आपके एक मुश्किल सवाल का जवाब देना चाहता हूं। 

फिर पंडित ने बीरबल से पूछा, तो बताओ मुर्गी पहले आई या अंडा। बीरबल ने तुरंत पंडित को जवाब दिया कि मुर्गी पहले आई। फिर पंडित ने उनसे पूछा कि तुम इतनी आसानी से कैसे बोल सकते हो कि मुर्गी पहले आई। इस पर बीरबल ने पंडित से कहा कि यह आपका दूसरा सवाल है और मुझे आपके एक सवाल का ही जवाब देना था। 

ऐसे में पंडित बीरबल के सामने कुछ बोल नहीं पाया और बिना बोले ही दरबार से चला गया। बीरबल की चतुराई और अक्लमंदी को देखकर अकबर हमेशा की तरह ही इस बार भी बहुत खुश हुए। इससे बीरबल ने साबित कर दिया कि बादशाह अकबर के दरबार में सलाहकार के रूप में बीरबल का रहना कितना जरूरी है। 

शिक्षा /Moral :- सही तरह से दिमाग लगाने और संयम रखने से हर सवाल का जवाब और हर समस्या का हल मिल सकता है।

 Whenever it comes to intelligence, cleverness and spot-response, the first name comes from Birbal.  At the same time, the jugalbandi of Akbar Birbal is not hidden from anyone.  It is also said that Birbal was considered to be one of the nine precious jewels of Emperor Akbar.  There are many stories related to Akbar Birbal that tickle everyone.  We have also read 15 stories here.  In this sequence, another story which has always been the subject of laughter.  This story is about the question that all people must have heard at some time in childhood and must have asked that the chicken came first that the egg.

 It is a matter of a day - a learned Pandit came in the Rajya Sabha of Emperor Akbar.  He wanted to know the answers to some questions from the emperor, but it became difficult for the emperor to answer his questions.  So he forwarded Birbal to answer Pandit's questions.  All were well aware of Birbal's cleverness and everyone hoped that Birbal could easily answer all the questions of Pandit.

 Pandit said to Birbal, "I give you two options. Either you give me one of my 100 easy questions or answer one of my difficult questions."  Birbal said after thinking carefully that I want to answer one of your difficult questions.

 Then Pandit asked Birbal, tell me if the chicken came first or the egg.  Birbal immediately replies to Pandit that the hen came first.  Then Pandit asked him how you can speak so easily that the chicken came first.  On this Birbal told Pandit that this is your second question and I had to answer only one of your questions.

 In such a situation, Pandit could not speak anything in front of Birbal and left without speaking.  Akbar was very happy this time as always, seeing Birbal's cleverness and wisdom.  With this, Birbal proved how important it is for Birbal to remain as an advisor in Emperor Akbar's court.
