हजारा राम मंदिर कर्नाटक के हम्पी का एक प्रमुख तीर्थस्थल है। यह मंदिर भगवान राम को समर्पित है। यह छोटा लेकिन सुंदर पूजा स्थल हम्पी के शाही क्षेत्र के केंद्र में स्थित है। यह मंदिर विजयनगर के राजाओं का निजी मंदिर था, जो महाकाव्य रामायण की कहानी को दर्शाने वाले सुंदर अवशेषों और पैनलों के लिए लोकप्रिय है। हजारा राम मंदिर हम्पी के शाही बाड़े में स्थित है।  यह एक ऐसी जगह है जिसे आम तौर पर कोई भी पर्यटक अपने हम्पी के रास्ते से नहीं चूकता। यह मंदिर सप्ताह के सभी दिनों में सुबह 6:00 बजे से शाम 6:00 बजे तक खुला रहता है। इसमें प्रवेश के लिए कोई शुल्क नहीं है। 

यह मंदिर कई मायनों में एक विशिष्ट मंदिर है, जिसका नाम मंदिर के प्रमुख देवता भगवान राम को चित्रित करने वाले कई अवशेषों से लिया गया है। दीवारें पत्थर पर उकेरी गई रामायण की कहानी बताती हैं। मंदिर की बाहरी दीवारें राम और कृष्ण के मूल अवशेषों से अलंकृत हैं। मंदिर का नाम “हज़ार राम” मंदिर इसलिए पड़ा क्योंकि इसकी दीवारों पर रामायण के पैनल बने हुए हैं। इस मंदिर की दीवारों पर रामायण की घटनाओं और पात्रों को उकेरा गया है।

अवशेषों में उस समय दशहरा उत्सव में भाग लेने वाले घोड़ों, हाथियों, सेवकों, सैनिकों और नृत्य करने वाली महिलाओं के जुलूस भी दर्शाए गए हैं। ये भारत में कहीं भी पाए जाने वाले सबसे अनोखे अवशेषों में से हैं। यह मंदिर विजयनगर की मूर्तिकला की अद्भुत शिल्पकला का एक उदाहरण है।

हजारा राम मंदिर, हम्पी का इतिहास

इसे 15वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत में विजयनगर के तत्कालीन राजा देवराय द्वितीय ने बनवाया था और इसे एक साधारण संरचना के रूप में बनाया गया था। इसमें केवल एक गर्भगृह, स्तंभों वाला हॉल और एक अर्ध मंडप शामिल था। हालाँकि, बाद में खुले बरामदे और सुंदर स्तंभों को जोड़ने के लिए मंदिर की संरचना का जीर्णोद्धार किया गया। मंदिर के उत्तरी भाग में एक लॉन स्थित है और दो बड़े प्रवेश द्वार मंदिर परिसर की ओर ले जाते हैं।

हजारा राम मंदिर कई पहलुओं में एक अनूठा मंदिर है।  मंदिर के बारे में सबसे पहली बात जो ध्यान खींचती है वह है इसका नाम।  'हजारा राम' शब्द का शाब्दिक अर्थ है एक हजार राम और मंदिर के शासक देवता को दर्शाने वाले अवशेषों की भीड़ को संदर्भित करता है। मंदिर की दीवारों पर पत्थर पर उकेरी गई रामायण की कहानी है।  मंदिर की बाहरी दीवारों को राम और कृष्ण के अवशेषों से सजाया गया है।

हजारा राम मंदिर की सुंदर संरचना

मंदिर के उत्तरी तरफ एक विशाल लॉन है।  दो विशाल प्रवेश द्वार हैं जो मंदिर परिसर तक पहुँच प्रदान करते हैं।  मंदिर के आंतरिक भाग में अलंकृत स्तंभ हैं।  तीन छेदों वाला एक खाली आसन दर्शाता है कि मंदिर में कभी राम, लक्ष्मण और सीता की मूर्तियाँ थीं।  मंदिर परिसर के अंदर एक छोटा मंदिर है जिसमें इसी तरह की महाकाव्य दीवार की नक्काशी है। एकमात्र जोड़ यह है कि इस मंदिर की दीवारों पर भगवान विष्णु के भी चित्रण हैं।  मंदिर विजयनगर के मूर्तिकारों की उत्कृष्ट शिल्प कौशल का एक उदाहरण है।

Hazara Rama Temple

The Hazara Rama Temple is a major pilgrimage center in Hampi, Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. This small but beautiful place of worship is located in the heart of the royal enclosure of Hampi. The temple was the private temple of the Vijayanagara kings, popular for the beautiful relics and panels depicting the story of the epic Ramayana. The Hazara Rama Temple is located in the royal enclosure of Hampi. This is one place that no tourist usually misses on their way to Hampi. The temple is open on all days of the week from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. There is no fee for entry.

This temple is a unique temple in many ways, deriving its name from the many relics depicting Lord Rama, the main deity of the temple. The walls tell the story of Ramayana engraved on stone. History of Hazara Rama Temple, Hampi

It was built in the early 15th century by the then king of Vijayanagara, Devaraya II and was built as a simple structure. It consisted of only a sanctum, pillared hall and a semi-mandapam. However, the temple structure was later renovated to add open verandas and beautiful pillars. A lawn is located on the northern side of the temple and two large entrance gates lead to the temple complex.

Uniqueness of Hazara Rama Temple

The Hazara Rama Temple is a unique temple in many aspects. The first thing that catches the attention about the temple is its name. The term 'Hazara Rama' literally means a thousand Ramas and refers to the multitude of relics depicting the ruling deity of the temple. The walls of the temple have the story of Ramayana engraved on stone. The outer walls of the temple are decorated with relics of Rama and Krishna.

Beautiful Structure of Hazara Rama Temple

The northern side of the temple has a vast lawn. There are two huge entrance gates that provide access to the temple complex. The interior of the temple has ornate pillars. An empty pedestal with three holes indicates that the temple once housed idols of Rama, Lakshmana and Sita. Inside the temple complex is a smaller shrine that has similar epic wall carvings. The only addition is that this temple also has depictions of Lord Vishnu on its walls. The temple is an example of the excellent craftsmanship of the sculptors of Vijayanagara.
