बेंगलुरु यात्रा के प्रथम दिन सबसे पहले रंगनाथ स्वामी मंदिर में भगवान विष्णु के दर्शन का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ।श्रीरंगम का यह मंदिर श्री रंगनाथ स्वामी (श्री विष्णु) को समर्पित है, जहां सव्यंम् श्री विष्णु (भगवान् श्री हरि विष्णु शेषनाग शैय्या पर विराजे हुए) हैं। यह मंदिर द्रविण शैली में निर्मित है। यह मंदिर वैष्णव का एक प्रमुख तीर्थस्थल है। 

मंदिर का प्रवेश द्वार अत्यंत भव्य है। इसका गोपुरम अर्थात ऊपर के हिस्से में बहुत अच्छी कारीगरी की गई है। गर्भगृह तक पहुंचने के लिए हमें स्टील के पाईप से बने सकरे रास्ते से होकर जाना था। गर्भगृह में भगवान रंगनाथ जी सात मुख वाले शेषनाग के द्वारा बने शैय्या पर लेटे हुए हैं। उनके पास लक्ष्मी जी भी विराजमान हैं। 

इनके साथ- साथ परिसर में भगवान गरुण, भूदेवी, ब्रह्मा, नरसिंह, श्रीदेवी, गोपालकृष्ण, हनुमान समेत अन्य छोटे छोटे मंदिर भी हैं। यहां पर गरुण देव की एक स्वर्ण परत वाली प्रतिमा भी आकर्षण का केन्द्र है।

गर्भ गृह में जहां भगवान रंगनाथ जी शेषनाग के द्वारा बने सैया पर लेटे हुए हैं, वहां तस्वीर लेना मना था। हम लोग दोपहर को पहुंचे थे, शायद इसलिए वहां लोगों की भीड़ भी नहीं थी और मंदिर में बहुत ही शांति और सुकून था। मंदिर के अंदर प्रसाद के तौर पर तुलसी जी के पत्ते थे।

द्रविड़ियन शैली में निर्मित रंगनाथस्वामी मंदिर होयसाला और विजयनगर वास्तुकला का अद्भूत नमूना है। मंदिर की किले जैसी दीवारें और जटिल नक्काशियों वाला गोरूपम इस मंदिर को और आकर्षक बनाता है। इसमें भगवान विष्णु के 24 अवतारों की नक्काशी के साथ 4 स्तंभ हैं, जिन्हें चतुरविमष्टी कहा जाता है। 

ऐसा माना जाता है कि होयसाला वंश के शासक नक्काशी की कला के बहुत बड़े पारखी थे और वे कारीगरों का भरपूर समर्थन करते थे। अंदर की दीवारों पर अत्यंत भव्य मूर्तिकला है, जिसमें हिन्दू पौराणिक कथाओं को दर्शाया गया है। ऐसी उत्कृष्ट मूर्तिकला हर किसी को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित कर सकती है।

On the first day of the Bangalore trip, I had the privilege of seeing Lord Vishnu at the Ranganatha Swamy temple. This temple of Srirangam is dedicated to Sri Ranganatha Swamy (Sri Vishnu), where Savyam Sri Vishnu (Lord Sri Hari Vishnu sitting on Sheshnag bed) Are. This temple is built in Dravidian style. This temple is a major pilgrimage site for Vaishnavas. The entrance gate of the temple is very grand. Very good workmanship has been done in its Gopuram i.e. the upper part. To reach the sanctum sanctorum, we had to pass through a narrow passage made of steel pipes. In the sanctum sanctorum, Lord Ranganath ji is lying on the bed made by the seven-headed Sheshnaag. Goddess Lakshmi is also present near him.

Along with these, there are other small temples in the complex including Lord Garun, Bhudevi, Brahma, Narasimha, Sridevi, Gopalkrishna, Hanuman. A gold plated statue of Garun Dev is also the center of attraction here.

It was forbidden to take photographs in the sanctum sanctorum where Lord Ranganath ji is lying on the saiya made by Sheshnag. We had reached in the afternoon, perhaps that is why there was no crowd of people there and there was a lot of peace and tranquility in the temple. There were Tulsi leaves as offerings inside the temple.

Ranganathaswamy Temple, built in Dravidian style, is a wonderful example of Hoysala and Vijayanagara architecture. The fort-like walls of the temple and the intricately carved Gorupam make this temple more attractive. It has 4 pillars with carvings of 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu, called Chaturvimashti.

It is believed that the rulers of the Hoysala dynasty were great connoisseurs of the art of carving and greatly supported the artisans. There are magnificent sculptures on the inside walls, which depict Hindu mythology. Such excellent sculpture can attract everyone.
