गुजरात और राजस्थान की सीमा पर बनासकांठा जिले के दांता तालुका में यह मां अंबे का भव्य मंदिर बना हुआ है। अंबाजी का मंदिर गुजरात- राजस्थान सीमा पर अरावली श्रृंखला के अरासुर पर्वत पर स्थित है। यह मंदिर लगभग 1200 साल पुराना है, और पवित्र शक्ति तीर्थ स्थानों में से एक है। 

सफेद संगमरमर से बना यह मंदिर बेहद भव्य है। मंदिर का शिखर 103 फीट ऊंचा है और इस पर 358 स्वर्ण कलश स्थापित हैं, जो इसकी खूबसूरती को बढ़ाते हैं। यह शक्ति की देवी सती को समर्पित 51 शक्तिपीठों में से एक है। 

सालों से जल रही अखंड ज्योति कभी नहीं बुझी-

कहने को तो यह मंदिर शक्तिपीठ है, पर यह मंदिर अन्य मंदिरों से कुछ अलग हटकर है। अरासुरी अंबाजी मंदिर में कोई प्रतिमा स्थापित नहीं है।इस मंदिर में मां अंबा की पूजा श्री यंत्र की आराधना से होती है, जिसे सीधे आंखों से देखा नहीं जा सकता है। पुजारी इस श्री यंत्र का श्रृंगार इतना अद्भुत ढंग से करते हैं कि श्रद्धालुओं को लगता है कि मां अंबे जी यहां साक्षात विराजमान है। इसके पास ही पवित्र अखंड ज्योति जलती है, जिसके बारे में कहते हैं कि यह कभी नहीं बुझी।

गब्बर पहाड़ की महिमा

गब्बर पर्वत गुजरात और राजस्थान की सीमा पर स्थित है। यहां पर पवित्र गुप्त नदी सरस्वती का उद्गम स्थल है। अरासुर पहाड़ी पर प्राचीन पर्वत माला अरावली के दक्षिण-पश्चिम में समुद्र सतह से 1600 फीट की ऊंचाई पर 8 किलोमीटर क्षेत्रफल में अंबाजी शक्तिपीठ स्थित है। यह 51 शक्तिपीठों में से एक है, जहां मां सती का हृदय गिरा था। इसका उल्लेख 'तंत्र चूड़ामणि' में भी मिलता है।

माना जाता है कि यह मंदिर लगभग 1200 साल पुराना है। अंबाजी के मंदिर से 3 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर गब्बर पहाड़ मां अंबे के पद चिन्हों और रथ चिन्हों के लिए विख्यात है। अंबे मां के दर्शन करने वाले भक्त गब्बर पर्वत पर पत्थर पर बने मां के पैरों के चिन्ह और मां के रथ के चिन्ह को देखने जरूर आते हैं। हर साल भाद्रपद पूर्णिमा के मौके पर यहां बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु जमा होते हैं।प्रत्येक माह की पूर्णिमा और अष्टमी तिथि पर यहां मां की विशेष पूजा अर्चना की जाती है। यहां फोटोग्राफी निषेध है। अंबाजी मंदिर के बारे में कहा जाता है कि यहां पर भगवान श्री कृष्ण का मुंडन संस्कार संपन्न हुआ था। वही भगवान राम की शक्ति की उपासना के लिए यहां आ चुके हैं। नवरात्र पर्व में श्रद्धालु बड़ी संख्या में माता के दर्शन के लिए आते हैं।

इसके अलावा गब्बर पर्वत पर अन्य दर्शनीय स्थल भी हैं- जैसे सनसेट पॉइंट, गुफाएं, माता जी के झूले और रज्जू मार्ग का रास्ता। हाल ही की खोज से ज्ञात हुआ कि अंबाजी के इस मंदिर का निर्माण वल्लभी शासक सूर्यवंशी सम्राट अरुण सेन ने चौथी शताब्दी में करवाया था।

इस मंदिर का जीर्णोद्धार का काम 1975 से शुरू हुआ था और तब से अब तक जारी है।

Amba Temple Gujarat

 This grand temple of Maa Ambe is built in Danta Taluka of Banaskantha district on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan.  The temple of Ambaji is situated on the Arasur mountain of the Aravalli range on the Gujarat-Rajasthan border.  This temple is about 1200 years old, and is one of the holy Shakti pilgrimage places.  This temple made of white marble is very grand.  The shikhara of the temple is 103 feet high and has 358 golden vases installed on it, which add to its beauty.  It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths dedicated to Sati, the goddess of power.

 The eternal flame burning for years never extinguished-

 To say this temple is a Shaktipeeth, but this temple is different from other temples.  There is no idol installed in the Arasuri Ambaji temple. In this temple Mother Amba is worshiped with the worship of Shri Yantra, which cannot be seen directly with the eyes.  The priests adorn this Shri Yantra in such a wonderful way that the devotees feel that Mother Ambe ji is present here.  The holy eternal flame burns near it, about which it is said that it has never been extinguished.

 Gabbar mountain is situated on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan.  Here is the origin of the sacred secret river Saraswati.  Ambaji Shaktipeeth is situated in an area of ​​8 km at an altitude of 1600 feet above sea level in the south-west of the ancient mountain range Aravali on Arasur hill.  It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, where the heart of Mother Sati fell.  It is also mentioned in 'Tantra Chudamani'.

 It is believed that this temple is about 1200 years old.  Gabbar Pahar, 3 km from Ambaji's temple, is famous for the footprints and chariot signs of Mother Ambe.  Devotees who visit Ambe Maa definitely come to Gabbar mountain to see the footprints of the mother made on the stone and the sign of the chariot of the mother.  A large number of devotees gather here every year on the occasion of Bhadrapada Purnima. Special worship of the mother is offered here on the full moon and Ashtami tithi of every month.  Photography is prohibited here.  It is said about Ambaji temple that the shaving ceremony of Lord Shri Krishna was performed here.  He has come here to worship the power of Lord Rama.  Devotees come in large numbers during Navratri festival to have darshan of the mother.

 Apart from this, there are other places of interest on Gabbar Parvat like Sunset Point, Caves, Mata Ji's Jhoola and Rojju Marg route.  It is known from the recent discovery that this temple of Ambaji was built by Vallabhi ruler Suryavanshi Emperor Arun Sen in the fourth century.

 The restoration work of this temple started in 1975 and has been going on since then.
