तेनालीरामा : अपमान का बदला | Tenalirama : Apmaan Ka Badla

ये उस समय की बात है, जब तेनालीरमन राजा कृष्ण देव राय के दरबार में अभी नहीं पहुंचे थे। राजा कृष्णदेव राय दूर-दूर तक मशहूर थे। तेनालीरमन ने भी राजा कृष्णदेव राय के चर्चे खूब सुन रखे थे। तेनालीरमन ने सुना था कि राजा चतुर और बुद्धिमानों का सम्मान करते हैं। इसलिए, उन्होंने सोचा कि क्यों न राज दरबार में जाकर कुछ करतब दिखाया जाए। लेकिन, इसमें एक अड़चन थी कि बिना किसी बड़ी मदद के वो वहां तक पहुंचते कैसे? ऐसे में, तेनालीरमन को किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति की तलाश थी, जो उन्हें राज दरबार तक पहुंचा सके। 

इस बीच तेनालीरमन की शादी मगम्मा नाम की लड़की से हो गई। एक वर्ष बाद उनके घर बेटा हुआ। इस दौरान तेनालीरमन को पता चलता है कि राजा कृष्णदेव राय का राजगुरु मंगलगिरी नामक स्थान पर गया है। तेनालीरमन वहां पहुंचे और राजगुरु की खूब सेवा किएऔर उन्हें महाराज से मिलने की अपनी इच्छा भी बताए। लेकिन, राजगुरु बहुत चालाक थे, उन्होंने बड़े-बड़े वादे तेनालीरमन से किए और तेनालीरमन से खूब अपनी सेवा करवाई। 

इस बीच राजगुरु ने सोचा कि अगर कोई चतुर इंसान राज दरबार में आ गया, तो उसका सम्मान घट जाएगा। इसलिए, राजगुरु ने तेनालीरमन से कहा कि, "मुझे जब भी सही मौका दिखेगा, मैं तुम्हारी मुलाकात महाराज से करवा दूंगा।" इसके बाद क्या था, तेनालीरमन राजगुरु के बुलावे का इंतजार करने लगे, लेकिन कई दिनों तक कोई भी खबर नहीं आई।

इस बात पर कई लोग तेनालीरमन का मजाक उड़ाने लगे और कहते कि, "तेनालीरमन, विजयनगर जाने की तैयारी कर ली?" इस बात पर तेनालीरमन कहते थे कि, "उचित समय आने पर सब हो जाएगा।" लेकिन, धीरे-धीरे तेनालीरमन का राजगुरु पर विश्वास उठ गया और तेनालीरमन खुद ही विजयनगर जाने का फैसला किए। वो अपनी मां और पत्नी के साथ विजयनगर के लिए रवाना गए। 

यात्रा के दौरान किसी भी तरह की परेशानी आती, तो तेनालीरमन राजगुरु का नाम ले लेते। तेनालीरमन ने अपनी मां से कहा कि, "व्यक्ति जैसा भी हो, लेकिन नाम ऊंचा हो, तो सभी काम हो जाते हैं। इसलिए, मुझे अपना नाम बदलना होगा। महाराज कृष्णदेव राय के प्रति अपना सम्मान प्रकट करने के लिए मैं भी अपने नाम के साथ कृष्ण लगाऊंगा।" इस बात पर तेनालीरमन की मां ने कहा कि, "बेटा मेरे लिए तो दोनों नाम बराबर हैं। मैं तुझे राम बुलाती थी और आगे भी इसी नाम से बुलाऊंगी।" 

चार महीने की यात्रा के बाद आखिरकार तेनालीरमन विजयनगर पहुंचते हैं। तेनालीरमन को राज्य की चमक-दमक देखकर बड़ा अच्छा लगा। बड़े-बड़े घर, साफ सड़कें और बाजार को देखकर वो दंग रह गए। इसके बाद, वहां कुछ दिन ठहरने के लिए तेनालीरमन वहां के किसी परिवार से प्रार्थना किए। फिर वो अकेला राज महल की ओर निकल पडे। वहां पहुंचकर तेनालीरमन एक सेवक के हाथों राजगुरु तक संदेश भिजवाए कि वह राजगुरु को जा के बता दे कि उनसे मिलने तेनालीरमन आए हैं। लेकिन, सेवक ने वापस आकर बताया कि राजगुरु इस नाम के किसी भी व्यक्ति को नहीं जानते हैं। 

यह बात सुनकर तेनालीरमन को गुस्सा आया और वो सीधा राजगुरु से मिलने अंदर चले गए। अंदर पहुंच कर तेनालीरमन  ने राजगुरु से कहा कि, "मैं तेनालीरमन! मैंने, मंगलगिरि में आपकी सेवा की थी।" लेकिन, राजगुरु ने जानबूझकर उन्हें पहचानने से इंकार कर दिया। राजगुरु ने तेनालीरमन को धक्के देकर वहां से निकलवा दिया। यह देख वहां मौजूद सभी लोग तेनालीरमन पर हंसने लगे। तेनालीरमन का इससे बड़ा अपमान आज तक नहीं हुआ था। तेनालीरमन ने मन ही मन इस अपमान का बदला लेने की ठान ली। लेकिन, इसके लिए राजा का दिल जीतना जरूरी था।

अगले दिन तेनालीरमन दरबार में पहुंच गए। वहां गंभीर विषयों पर चर्चा जारी थी। संसार क्या है? जीवन क्या है? जैसे सवाल किए जा रहे थे। वहां मौजूद एक पंडित ने अपने जवाब में कहा कि, "संसार कुछ नहीं, बल्कि एक छलावा है। हम जो भी देखते हैं या खाते हैं, वो बस विचार है। सच में ऐसा कुछ होता ही नहीं है, लेकिन हमें लगता है कि ऐसा होता है।"

इस पर तेनालीराम ने पूछा कि, "क्या सच में ऐसा होता है?" उस पंडित ने कहा, "यह बात शास्त्रों में लिखी हुई है और शास्त्र गलत नहीं होते।" लेकिन, तेनालीरमन को अपनी बुद्धि पर पूरा विश्वास था। इसलिए, उन्होंने वहां मौजूद सभी लोगों से कहा कि, "क्यों न पंडित जी के विचारों की जांच की जाए। महाराज की तरफ से आज दावत का आयोजन है। हम सब खूब खाएंगे, लेकिन पंडित जी कुछ नहीं खाएंगे। पंडित जी बिना कुछ खाए विचार करेंगे कि वो खा रहे हैं।"

तेनालीराम की इस बात पर वहां मौजूद सभी लोग हंसने लगे। पंडित जी शर्म से पानी-पानी हो गए। महाराज भी तेनालीरमन से बहुत खुश हुए और तेनालीरमन को स्वर्ण मुद्राएं भेंट की। इसके बाद राजा कृष्णदेव राय ने तेनालीराम को राज विदूषक का पद दे दिया। वहां मौजूद सभी लोगों ने महाराज के फैसले का स्वागत किया। फैसले की प्रशंसा करने वालों में राजगुरु भी थे।

This is about the time when Tenaliraman had not yet reached the court of King Krishna Deva Raya. King Krishna Deva Raya was famous far and wide. Tenaliraman had also listened a lot to the discussions of King Krishnadeva Raya. Tenaliraman had heard that the king respected the clever and the wise. So, he thought why not go to the royal court and perform some feat. But, there was a hindrance in this that how did he reach there without any big help? In such a situation, Tenaliraman was looking for someone who could take him to the royal court.

 Meanwhile, Tenaliraman got married to a girl named Magamma. A year later they had a son. During this, Tenaliraman learns that the Rajguru of King Krishnadeva Raya has gone to a place called Mangalagiri. Tenaliraman reached there and served Rajaguru a lot and also told him his desire to meet Maharaj. But, Rajguru was very clever, he made big promises to Tenaliraman and got Tenaliraman to do his service a lot.

 Meanwhile, Rajguru thought that if a clever person entered the court, his honor would be reduced. Therefore, Rajaguru told Tenaliraman that, "Whenever I see the right opportunity, I will get you to meet Maharaj." What was after this, Tenaliraman waited for Rajguru's call, but for several days no news came.

 On this, many people started making fun of Tenaliraman and said, "Tenaliraman, have you prepared to go to Vijayanagara?" On this, Tenaliraman used to say that, "Everything will happen when the right time comes." But, gradually Tenaliraman lost faith in Rajguru and Tenaliraman himself decided to go to Vijayanagara. He left for Vijayanagara with his mother and wife.

 If there was any kind of trouble during the journey, Tenaliraman would have taken the name of Rajguru. Tenaliraman told his mother that, "Whatever the person may be, but the name is high, then all works are done. Therefore, I have to change my name. To show my respect to Maharaja Krishnadeva Raya, I also use my name. I will put Krishna with me." To this, Tenaliraman's mother said, "Son, both names are equal for me. I used to call you Ram and will call you by this name in future also."

 After four months of travel, Tenaliraman finally reaches Vijayanagara. Tenaliraman was very happy to see the splendor of the kingdom. He was stunned to see the big houses, clean roads and markets. Thereafter, Tenaliraman prayed to some family to stay there for a few days. Then he left alone towards the Raj Mahal. After reaching there, Tenaliraman sent a message to Rajguru in the hands of a servant that he should go and inform Rajguru that Tenaliraman has come to meet him. But, the servant came back and told that Rajguru does not know any person by this name.

 Hearing this, Tenaliraman got angry and went straight to meet Rajguru. Upon reaching inside, Tenaliraman told Rajaguru, "I am Tenaliraman! I served you at Mangalagiri." But, Rajguru deliberately refused to recognize him. Rajguru pushed Tenaliraman out of there. Seeing this, all the people present there started laughing at Tenaliraman. Tenaliraman had never been humiliated more than this. Tenaliraman decided to avenge this insult in his heart. But, for this it was necessary to win the heart of the king.

 The next day Tenaliraman reached the court. There were discussions on serious topics. What is world? what is life? As questions were being asked. A pundit present there said in his reply that, "The world is nothing but an illusion. Whatever we see or eat is just a thought. Nothing like this really happens, but we think it is so." It happens."

 On this Tenaliram asked, "Does this really happen?" The pundit said, "This is written in the scriptures and the scriptures are not wrong." But, Tenaliraman had complete faith in his intellect. Therefore, he told all the people present there that, "Why not examine Panditji's thoughts. Today there is a feast organized by Maharaj. We will all eat a lot, but Panditji will not eat anything. Panditji will not eat anything." Will consider that they are eating."

 On this talk of Tenaliram, all the people present there started laughing. Pandit ji became watery with shame. Maharaj was also very pleased with Tenaliraman and presented gold coins to Tenaliraman. After this, King Krishnadeva Raya gave Tenaliram the position of Raj Vidushak. Everyone present there welcomed the decision of Maharaj. Rajguru was also among those who praised the decision.
