 मनुष्य इतनी प्रगति कर चुका है कि धरती के साथ-साथ समुद्र की गहराइयां भी अब अनछुई नहीं रह गई हैं, इसका जीता जागता उदाहरण है, दुनिया का पहला अंडर वाटर होटल। अब ना ही आकाश और ना समुद्र की गहराई हमारे लिए एक सीमा है। मनुष्य अपनी कल्पनाओं को हकीकत में बदलने की योग्यता रखता है और इसी का उदाहरण देता है यह दुनिया का पहला अंडरवाटर होटल (World's 1st Underwater Hotel)।

दुनिया का पहला अंडरवाटर होटल मालदीव में खुला है। कानराड मालद्वीव्स रंगाली द्वीप होटल हिंद महासागर में बना है।समुद्र के अंदर इस होटल को मालदीव्स रंगाली आइसलैंड एंड रिसॉर्ट्स ने बनाया है। इसे बनाने में करीब ₹108 करोड़ रुपए खर्च हुए। 2 फ्लोर के इस होटल का नाम "मुराका" रखा गया है। स्थानीय भाषा में मुराका का मतलब समुद्री मूंगा होता है। इसके चार रातों का पैकेज 1.4 करोड़ रूपया (2 लाख डालर ) है। इसके हिसाब से एक रात ठहरने का करीब 3600000 रुपए होता है, लेकिन एक रात ठ‌हरने की सुविधा नहीं है बल्कि पूरा पैकेज लेना जरूरी है।

अंडर वाटर होटल के बेडरूम के दीवारें शीशे की है जिससे समुद्र के अंदर का अद्वितीय दृश्य देखा जा सकता है।मेहमान सर्पिल सीढ़ी या लिफ्ट के माध्यम से लहरों के नीचे अपना रास्ता बना सकते हैं। गुंबददार छत और विशाल खिड़कियां गहरे नीले रंग के मनोरम दृश्य प्रस्तुत करती हैं।समुद्र की 16 फीट गहराई में स्थित इस होटल में प्राइवेट जिम, शेफ, बार और पुल जैसी लग्जरी सुविधाएं भी मौजूद हैं। मुराका में ठहरने वालों के लिए 90 मिनट का मसाज और स्पीड बोट की फैसिलिटी भी मौजूद है। मुराका का टॉप फ्लोर पानी के बाहर है, जहां रिलैक्सेशन डेक पर मेहमान सनबाथ ले सकते हैं।

 मुराका को बनाने में पर्यावरण का खास ख्याल रखा गया है। इसमें स्टील, ग्लास एक्रेलिक और कंक्रीट का इस्तेमाल किया गया है। सिंगापुर में से तैयार कर विशेष जहाज से मालदीव लाकर समुद्र के अंदर सेट  किया गया है। तेज लहरों से बचाने के लिए इसे मजबूत खंभों से बांधा गया है।

मालदीव देश के प्रमुख डेस्टिनेशन में से एक है हर साल वहां पर 60,000 से अधिक लोग छुट्टियां बिताने जाते हैं।

होटल के आर्किटेक्ट अहमद सलीम ने ब्लूमबर्ग के हवाले से बताया "मुराका एक अनूठा अनुभव का वादा करता है जो दुनिया में कहीं और उपलब्ध नहीं है।"

  Man has made so much progress that the depths of the sea as well as the earth are no longer untouched, a living example of this is the world's first underwater hotel. Now neither the sky nor the depth of the sea is a limit for us. Man has the ability to turn his fantasies into reality and gives an example of this, the world's first underwater hotel.

 The world's first underwater hotel is open in the Maldives. Kanrad Maldives Rangali Island Hotel is built in the Indian Ocean. This hotel is built by Maldives Rangali Iceland & Resorts within the sea. It cost around ₹ 108 crore to build. This 2 floor hotel is named "Muraka". Muraka in the local language means sea coral. Its four nights package is 1.4 crore rupees (USD 2 lakh). According to this, a night stay is about 3600000 rupees, but there is no facility to stay one night but it is necessary to take the whole package.

 The walls of the underwater hotel bedroom are glass-framed, allowing a unique view of the ocean inside. Guests can make their way under the waves via a spiral staircase or lift. The vaulted ceilings and expansive windows offer a panoramic view of the deep blue color. Located 16 feet deep in the sea, the hotel also has luxury facilities such as a private gym, chef, bar and bridge. There is also a 90-minute massage and speed boat facility for those staying in Muraka. The top floor of Muraka is outside the water, where guests can take a sunbath on the Relaxation deck.

  Special care has been taken of environment in making Muraka. It uses steel, glass acrylic and concrete. It is set out from the Singapore and brought to the Maldives by special ship to the sea. It is tied with strong poles to protect it from strong waves.

 Maldives is one of the major destination of the country, more than 60,000 people go there every year for holidays.

 Hotel architect Ahmed Salim quoted Bloomberg as saying "Muraca promises a unique experience not available anywhere else in the world."
