भैंसा और नटखट बंदर

                 हिमवंत के वन में कभी एक जंगली भैंसा रहता था।  कीचड़ से सना, काला और बदबूदार, किंतु वह  एक शीलवान भैंसा था। उसी वन में एक नटखट बंदर भी रहता था। शरारत करने में उसे बहुत आनंद आता था। मगर उससे भी अधिक आनंद उसे दूसरे को चिढ़ाने और परेशान करने में आता था। अतः स्वभावतः वह भैंसा को भी परेशान करता रहता था। कभी वह सोते में उसके ऊपर कूद पड़ता, कभी उसे घास चरने से रोकता, तो कभी उसके सींघो को पकड़कर कूदता हुआ नीचे ऊपर जाता, तो कभी उसके ऊपर यमराज की तरह एक छड़ी लेकर सवारी कर लेता।  भारतीय मिथक परंपराओं में यमराज की सवारी भैंसा बतलाई जाती है। 

                   उसी जंगल के एक वृक्ष पर एक यक्ष रहता था। उसे बंदर की छेड़खानी बिल्कुल पसंद ना थी। उसने कई बार बंदर को दंडित करने के लिए भैंसा को प्रेरित किया। वह बलवान और बलिष्ठ भी था, जिससे वह बंदर को उसकी शैतानियों के लिए दंड देना चाहता था , किंतु भैंसा ऐसा मानता था कि किसी भी प्राणी को चोट पहुंचाना शीलत्व तो नहीं है और दूसरों को चोट पहुंचाना सच्चे सुख का अवरोधक भी है। वह यह भी मानता था कि कोई भी प्राणी अपने कर्मों से मुक्त नहीं हो सकता। कर्मों का फल तो सदा मिलता ही है। अतः बंदर भी  अपने बुरे कर्मों का फल एक दिन अवश्य पाएगा और एक दिन ऐसा  ही हुआ। जबकि वह भैसा घास चरता हुआ दूर किसी दूसरे वन में चला गया। संयोगवश उसी दिन एक दूसरा भैंसा पहले भैंसा के स्थान पर आकर चरने लगा। तभी उछलता कूदता बंदर भी उधर आ पहुंचा बंदर ने आव देखा न ताव। पूर्ववत वह दूसरे भैंसा के ऊपर चढ़ने की वैसी ही धृष्टता कर बैठा। किंतु दूसरे भैसा ने बंदर की शरारत को सहन नहीं किया और उसे तत्काल जमीन पर पटक कर उसकी छाती में सींग घुसेड़ दिए और पैरों से उसे रौंद डाला। क्षण मात्र में ही बंदर के प्राण पखेरू उड़ गए। 

शिक्षा/Moral :- बुरे कर्मों का फल सभी को अवश्य भोगना पड़ता है।

Buffalo and naughty monkey

   There was once a wild buffalo in the forest of Himavant. Mud-stained, black and smelly, but he was a Urgent buffalo. A naughty monkey also lived in the same forest. He used to enjoy doing mischief. But more than that, he used to tease and harass the other. So naturally he used to harass buffalo too. Sometimes he would jump on her in bed, sometimes stop her from grazing the grass, sometimes she would jump up and down while grabbing her chest, sometimes she would ride on him like a Yamraj with a stick. In Indian mythological traditions, the ride of Yamaraja is described as buffalo.

                   A Yaksha lived on a tree in the same forest. He did not like flirting of the monkey at all. He induced the buffalo to punish the monkey several times. He was also strong and sacrificial, whereby he wanted to punish the monkey for his devils, but Buffalo believed that hurting any creature is not modesty and hurting others is also an inhibitor of true happiness. 

He also believed that no creature can be free from its deeds. You always get the fruits of your actions. Therefore, the monkey will also receive the fruits of his evil deeds one day, and one day it happened. While the shepherd went away in some other forest, grazing the grass. Coincidentally, on the same day, another buffalo came to the place of the first buffalo and started grazing. Then the jumping monkey also came there and the monkey saw nothing. Undoubtedly, he sat down with the same audacity to climb on top of the other buffalo. But the other buffalo did not tolerate the monkey's mischief and immediately slammed him on the ground and inserted horns in his chest and trampled him with his feet. In just moments the monkey's soul flew away.

Education / Moral: 

Everyone must bear the fruits of bad deeds.
